I never fail to be amazed that there are still forummers here who think that any persons other than LKY has the authority and the power to initiate and decide on policies. Let me state this one more time. In S'pore politics, every policy, yes, every policy is conceived and decided upon by one and only one LKY!!!!!!!! PAP's organisation chart is a very simple one. There are two levels. First level is The Boss (LKY) and second level is The Rest (from LHL downwards)

I agree. To me, LKY was always running the show. Nothing moves without LKY's approval. GCT had no real power even when he was PM. GCT was intoxicated by the title and the money and was willing to sell his soul. I hope to be proven wrong.

Memo to Ms Tracy

Stop being fooled by smooth talking politicians who only know how to ask you to raise hands!

If CCS is in not for the money, we will see and hear him speaking from his heart and that he will be able to do the right thing. To me, the new Ministers and the new MPs are our hope.

Singaporeans can write off the older Ministers who had been yes-men to LKY and LHL. If they had truly been servant leaders, the older Ministers wld not ahve allowed SG Systems and Institutions to degenerate to the present situation.

So can Singaporeans write off LHL, TCH, Tharman, VB, LSS, LHK, NEH, GKY, KBW, YI, Shanmugam, etc. Collectively, they were responsible for letting SG get into this pathetic state.

Our hope now is in HSK, CCS, TCJ, LTK, SL, CSM, PS, TJS, JA, NS, VW, AYG, ML, etc..

Good to see that Chan Chun Sing has the courage to publicly contradict LKY when he said that pay was not a factor for the PAP team that forms the govt.

I read the remarks rather carefully. There was no contradiction of LKY. He was selling the usual koyok to justify the high pay, hiding it behind bad metaphors.

I expect to see more of such self serving speeches in the coming days. It is a good outcome as it only raises the disgust level Singaporeans have of the PAP.

Despite the foregone conclusion because the Whip has not been lifted, I am still looking forward to what the MPs say at the debate. They can still be truthful and speak their minds

Also as predicted, the self serving speeches and remarks are rasing the disgust levels Singaporeans feel toward the PAP. Looking forward a lot more PAP MPs and Ministers being made a fool of over the next few days.

I happened to be watching when the retard tried using the analogy of eating $10 chye tow kuey and $1.50 chye tow kuey.

He said to the effect that if the carrot cake is good, even if it is $10 per plate, you would still pay for it and eat it, whereas even if the other carrot cake is $1.50, you would not want to eat it.

The idiot just doesnt understand that we are getting fedup because we have always been told that we are eating the $10 carrot cake when all these time we have been fed the $1.50 one.

He should know that his carrot cake is a monopoly. Just like the other idiot who tried to use chilli crab to compare.

Wrong. Let old uncle me tell you youngster the history. LKY has never pushed for high government salaries. Not that he doesn't like more money but his wife earned more than enough already. In GE 1991 after GCT took over, GCT suffered a loss of 4 seats and percentage loss worst at time, until GE 2011. LKY wanted explanation and solution. GCT was the one who said no money no honey, no talent no mellon. That was how minister salaries went up into millions. LKY ran out of ideas and agreed. So must publicly be seen to support GCT also. Because the next line was his son LHL, he must make sure GCT was alright all the way till handover.

You youngsters always never read properly jump the gun when replying to elders. Read again, properly. GCT was the one who suggested and approved it as PM. LKY ran out of ideas at that time and couldn't rock the GCT boat. He must support it publicly. The boat must be safe ashore for LHL to take over.

As for abolishing estate duty, it was Tharman return gift to LHL for promoting him to Finance Minister. LKY wants it for what? He's also near the day. LHL is biggest beneficiary. And a masterstroke by this Indian snake, not only return gifted LHL, he pleased all of the top wealthies to co-operate with him as FM.
