This forum really imitates life and I have to say that you may not find it funny but I'm finding the whole scenario absolutely hilarious.:p

I had a few days to spare and I've found that the power or reputation points goes way beyond what I ever imagined and they aren't even redeemable.

I wonder what would happen if it was real money!

I think you don't get it. It is not about points but fairplay. Who cares about points, definitely not joetys. He is anti-PAP is all but he hardly post about politics. If I do care about it I will not asked to have my Mod Status removed, as my detractors will be waiting for the opportunity. I have asked you a few times but I get no answer.

I am an eccentric by nature. I have never given or taken away points from anyone. I have never banned or infracted anyone. I abuse people in the thread for writing rubbish and the very next thread it can be same person and if it is a good post, I would compliment them by stating "Excellent"' "Excellent post", "Well articulated", "Well said", "Great Stuff," "Agreed with you," "Agree......," "Kudos to you" etc.

When you introduced the point system, i realised that it was faulty. Out of principle, i chose not to. The guy with the highest point and the quality of his contribution is a testament to the system. The fact that newbies have to plead for points to survive is a testament to the system.

Look at the clones working hand in glove to raise points. We have people having to beg for points using their signature. If the system allocates sufficient points to people like Tracy Tan for each year of service to this forum, i am sure people will see context. We should also have point differential for folders. That encourages quality and we already have moderators who can shape the good folders.

If the brain dead want to talk to an Ah Beng with gender issues and thinks he was an Air Stewardess that is absolutely fine. How come this Ah Lian with a dick can get more points than Tracy Tan. No issues with TCSS folders and posting, but recornise the guys who can write complete sentences, do paragraphs then the slow wits who relish with one liners and "lol"s.

I took a screenie and no doubt find it useful one of these days. Thanks for the compliment which no doubt caused you a lot of pain, but for what it was worth, it made my day.

Of course it does to some extent when it is linked to praising or to chastise another.:( It is not the points per se but the reasoning why it has been given or removed.

I am done for 2011, and I wish all SBF members the very best for this coming 2012 and also SBF and what it stands for in this chaotic world we all lived in.

I thought the points system was best because it suited the Singaporean psyche. Zapping is like throwing a punch. It's the next step after the quarrel that can't be resolved with words.

It can also be used for cronyism type arrangements.. you up me i up you.

It brings out the worst in people. That's why it's such fun.

ah sam maybe stirring shit but not all his points are irrelvant. too many ppl here in the forum had been shooting from hips without consideration at all. as long as opinions not the same, will kenna label as pro pap or arselickers. now the wrong ppl are being single out to share points, i hardly think it fair at all. sure points are useless, but it also being earn fair and square in the first place.(for most ppl)

I had my points deduced too, very high, i suspect money collector deduct last year, during the time when the rep power got very high and then drop back to very low.
