I have been surfing this forum intermittently for a few years and am saddened at the attitude displayed by many forummers here.

Singapore is a land of plenty, where opportunities abound. Yet forummers here seem to be constantly griping about the perceived lack of opportunities, the gap between the rich and poor, the high cost of living and property prices, the influx of foreigners, indeed almost every facet of Singaporean life.

Instead of pulling up their socks and buckling up their boots, sammyboy forummers seem to be content with being keyboard warriors, venting their frustrations fruitlessly and aimlessly at the PAP Government. This is silly and unproductive.

Rather than complaining endlessly and needlessly about how foreigners are competiting for jobs and pushing up the property prices, forummers should be grateful to the PAP Government for building a safe, secure and meritocratic Singapore, where effort is rewarded, where taxes are extremely low, where property rights are respected, and where there is rule of law.

In Singapore, anyone who puts in his or her fair share of effort and creativity can aim for that Pot Of Gold and strike it big. The policies put in place by the PAP Government ensures that everyone has a level playing field and a chance to build that Singapore Dream. We should welcome foreigners into our midst as they create new and better jobs for all Singaporeans. And we should welcome asset appreciation as well, as it puts money directly into our pockets, and enables all Singaporeans to retire comfortably.

So from today onwards, I will be defending PAP policies and arguing on behalf of the much-maligned PAP. Truly, forummers here are unaware of the blessings which they have, the abundant opportunities that await them in the real world. Our truly open market economy, our extraordinary low crime rate, and our vibrant entreprenural climate and pro-business environment makes Singapore one of the best places in the world to live.

For all this, we truly must thank the PAP.

I thank God for the PAP, without them, there wouldn't be me! OK with you?

OTC,

Truly, you have exchanged yr soul with the Devil.

God have mercy upon yr soul.

PS. But I think you will run out of good things very quickly to say of the PAP.

Exchanged my soul? No way! What I write is from the heart. Being against the PAP is a lie and a populist facade that I cannot live with anymore. For once in my life, I am being honest. 60% of Singaporeans cannot be wrong.

Omigawd! You are deeper in shit than I thought!

hi there

1. oh! pls go ahead & worship your gods, crying sheep & running dogs.
2. honest, who really cares!

i did some introspection and reflection and i agree with bro OverThe Counter. We should be grateful for many things here in Singapore.

First on the list would be the general peace that we have. The lack of lawlessness and violence on the streets are a good index of how well run this place is.

I'm sure the orderliness of jails appeals to you too. Singapore: the largest human zoo in the world. :)

Wow! You sure are quick trying to fall in line with forum host Mr Leongsam aren't you. I didn't know there are forummers here without a backbone of their own

You can't even spell Sammyboy correctly. Check your spelling ok?

sorry but i have never been in their premises so i cant really say. But outside of those walls it is generally okay. A little wild on 31Dec maybe but quite mild on most other days or nights.

I agree absolutely with TS. Whilst sitting down during X'mas Eve family dinner with close relatives and enjoying my shot of Tequila Ley .925 I reflected on how life was 40 years ago. Now it is nothing for me to drink my S$500 a shot tequila which can buy 25 peasants enough beer to last them through the night.

I cannot imagine when I was young and poor that I could afford all these. My heartfelt thanks to LKY and the government for making all these possible.

Cheers and a Happy and Prosperous 2012 to all SBF members.:D

Spore is a tiny snort compared to the size of the rest of our neighbours, thats why PAP can managed to control things here so easily...

This is hilarious. You can do it but don't expect others to be able to. People who disagree with PAP policies will either voice out their anti 2 cents worth in Pro PAP threads or refrain from doing so. If the host wants to drive anti PAP forummers away then that will be a good start. :D

This forum has it's own currency of "growth dividends". It doesn't take much to get a Singaporean to switch allegiances. :p

Take those poor unfortunate souls you were helping over the past few days. I bet my bottom dollar that if I offered them enough money, I could easily get one of them to stab you in the back. So much for gratitude.

i concede that, but they could have just as easily raped and then abandoned the country. A previous PM sold Xmas island for pittance.
