There is a S'porean big-time bookie who contributes at least a million a year buying foodstuff for the poor in Malaysia using his own money and he insists there mustn't be any publicity. Compare this chap with TT.

microscopy portion of his world highest salary for civil servant.

What he should be doing at NTUC Fairprice is to check on the prices of essential items, rather than all this wayang. He should ensure that NTUC Fairprice does not use inflation as an excuse to price their items beyond what the ordinary folks can afford, bearing in mind that the mission of this co-operative is to keep the prices of essential goods low. So he should be asking Seah Kian Peng how much that tin of Milo that he is showing him would cost elsewhere like Shop N Save, Sheng Shiong etc to gauge if Fairprice is really fair (many have been complaining that Fairprice has been raising prices alot). Otherwise TT is just wasting taxpayers' money to go personally shopping for groceries and a pure wastage of manpower with such a large entourage accompanying him.

At the cashier's counter...

Cashier: Are you member?

TT: Member of what?

Cashier: NTUC member got rebate.

TT: I'm the President, they're all under me.

Cashier: Sorry, manager said no member card no rebate.

TT: You don't know me, the President of the country.

Cashier: Sorry don't know you, only know President Hu Jintao. I'm from PRC.

TT: ...:*:

If President Tony Tan was genuinely caring of the less fortunate, a generous cash donation to a charitable organisation would have filled up MORE than the ONE tiny shopping cart of groceries he was pushing around in the photo opportunity publicity stunt.

Pushing a TINY shopping Trundler with a small army of sycophants choosing and putting the groceries in the cart for the President is nothing short of a distasteful Publicity Stunt.

Hey, that was good. It jolted my memory.
A couple of days ago, I was at a shop in Changi Village looking for a belt.

Me: Do you sell belts?

Salesgirl: "Mei-yor"

Me: Do you speak English

Salesgirl: "Mei -yor"

Me: U have belts there (pointing to some hanging ones)

Salesgirl: "Mei-Yor"

Me: !!!!!!???????

Yeah its nothing but a publicity stunt. A good President that cares for his people, will just go to an NTUC and do shopping with minimal security, and no announcement,,,that way more sincere mah

THe porlumpar NTUC probably have to close the whole fucking store just for the fucker to do his shopping while the rest of the inconvenienced peasants wait till he finished...

Porlumpar 1 ( holding the Milo) : Mr Pesident do you like Milo?

Ah Tan : Yes, I love it .

Porlumpar 1 : Then I think they will defintely love it too. ( praising Ah Tan taste buds and asking for permission before taking the item for the peasants to try)

Prolumpar 2 ( looking over the shoulder) : Yes, yes good choice, healthy beverage. ( praising ah Tan choice being good and healthy one)

It's all in the act, it takes skill to wayang and carry balls ,back and forth but sometimes it does backfire!

more likely it's like this..........

Porlumpar 1 ( holding the Milo) : Mr President do you like Milo?

Ah Tan : Milo ? What the heck is it ? A drink for peasants ?

Porlumpar 1 : Yes....you are so very clever, Mr President..........Milo is a peasant's drink........

Prolumpar 2 ( looking over the shoulder) : Yes.......yes..........Mr President, Milo is not fit for elites like yourself.........

Lucky not shop in the open. I bet there will be a few more porlumpars fighting amongst themselves to see who can hold the umbrella for the fark shit.

For a "world class" city-state, we sure have more than our share of super porlumpars. Skills wise, we are a world class number one porlumpar cuntry.
