Loy Krathong. At Sukhthai, they put up lanterns that 'fly'. In Bangkok and other areas, the light a candle on a small boat and let it float.
In Singapore, you buy a styrofoam made 'lotus' for 5 bucks from Golden Mile and release into kallang river at nearby kallang park.....dun let NEA catch you doing that

Sorry I used the wrong word la, yes farang is strictly for white trash

No wonder when I visited Thailand, I always hear the word farang. Now I know it means white foreigner. But come on please, there're white trash but not all whites are trash, just as there're yellow trash but not all yellows are trash.

this coming from the chup cheng who started a thread on 'why ALL touts are chinese'? it never occur to you other races tout as well?

I've already corrected and apologized for that error. It might be because I don't eat Indian and Malay food that I've never come across their touts. I usually only eat western, Chinese and Japanese food, in that order. It may also be our difference in the definition of touting. Blaring out loud what's on offer to general passers-by is not touting to me. Even westerners and Japanese do that. Tagging on and harrassing specific individuals is touting.

Next time when you post any message and other people do not like it, there is not a need to apologize or correct anything. If they do not like what you post, they do not have to read your post and fuck off from the forum. You do not own them anything.

That is the style of an unsinkified individual.

Should be "You do not owe them anything." I think.

Thank KYP. These two are just outside my place not far. National Monument refers to what we call Anusauwaree its sitting on the Laksi Circle which is under construction now to put up the flyover. This is one of the heaviest traffic junction in Bangkok as its where Paholyothin and Ramintra roads crosses each other.

Seriously I missed Bangkok very much now. I mean all my partners and staff are fighting the flood and I am here kiao-kah-yeo-lam-pah. Its ain't fair. Tomorrow I go Akan Lake Onsen for 3 days 2 nights and then back to Sapporo. Then back to Bangkok on 2nd. I am checking with JAL if I could have a stop over in Tokyo on my way back.

You're buying time right ? Zip up your pants lah.

Don't need to worry about that. I have no plans to visit Japan anytime again in the near future. I'm planning for Holland, if it works out.

I'm sure JAL can accommodate that unless they changed their system. I used to fly JAL to Narita then transit to San Francisco. The first day stayover at a Narita hotel was only US$25 extra arranged by JAL. If extended more days, then pay the standard hotel rate, and what hell, you can choose your hotel since you're paying full rate. Of course that time, I made full use of the first day stayover offer and then went to stay in my GF's home. The Narita area isn't bad actually. Very good and inexpensive Japanese food around the Narita Eki (station). Relaxing environment good for strolling around. Trains to Tokyo is within 30 minutes.

I just got an email from the german embassy, saying that tomorrow, at 6 pm there will be the worst floodings and possibly also into the inner center.

That would fit very good to our predictions here, and... I trust the embassy more than the government in moment.
