Vote for your most handsome English footballer

Ray Wilkins and Alan Shearer, I agree. But not Ryan Giggs. Giggs looks like a Hakka.

Good pic of Wilkins. Thanks bro. Giggs must keep voluminous hair to cover and cushion his ears, that's all. ;)

AVB: Lampard must fight for place

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has told his 'superstar' players - including Frank Lampard - to fight for their starting places.

Lampard, who was an unused substitute in the Blues' 4-1 win over Swansea on Saturday, has thrown his future at Stamford Bridge into doubt by walking away from the bench during the match.

Villas-Boas is believed to be planning a gradual sifting out of aged players such as Lampard, who has been a regular fixture at the club over the years.

And according to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese coach has made it clear to his players that they would have to fight for their places as he looks to implement a squad rotation policy this season.

Villas-Boas, meanwhile, has insisted that Lampard remains an important player in his plans this season and that one should not read too much into his recent exclusion from the starting line-up.

"Lampard (is still) an iconic and a fantastic player, and a key player for sure, no doubt about it," he was quoted as saying.

"He started five games and played 90 minutes in four of them. We count on him like we count on the others."

For some unknown reasons, always find Kevin Keegan very handsome. Even now still got that type of Sean Connery old Guai Lan face.

KK was the original when footballers first become poster boys and advert models.

There is nothing gayish about being handsome. If you have had the experience of being on the receiving end of such "accolades" you will think it's perfectly normal for men to discuss what is handsome and what is not.

To say it's gayish is to admit that you feel out of place.

I do receive "accolades" at times from the opposite sex, but from the same sex? Maybe it's just me then.

Anyway, any such thread with Alamaking so enthusiastic about it, is likely a gay thread lor! :p

Shouldn't there be pics of footballers' wives and girlfriends instead?

Yah. remember Kevin Keegan used to be in almost every issue of 'Shoot' magazine. Another poster boy was Peter Shilton, goalie of don't know which club? Think southamptom or something. Then all the Liverpool pretty boys start coming in one by one, Kenny Daglish, Bluce Gobbluear (Kaylong Goalie) and many others. (sorry forgot all the spellings. pai seh. pai seh).

That time, all clubs still wearing those ugly tight pants macham will tear anytime type. But golden year of football.

The tight shorts and longsleeves were all in preparation of World Cup Argentina 1978. A rare winter World Cup, proverbially about once in 50 years since most of the soccer powers capable of hosting the World Cup are in the northern hemisphere or tropics where wearing long sleeve jerseys and tights must be suicidally silly in June/July.
