Interesting perspective but if that is the case, the SDP would be an unwitting, uncaused kingmaker and that means they cannot really do much to "help" or "avoid helping" WP.

But I really think SDP's hardcore vote is 5% and any opposition is 25%. And out of the 5%, 4% still vote WP rather than PAP.

The only way to verify and quantify hardcore support is in a 3-cornered fight between PAP, WP and SDP. WP is the most popular opposition, that's a given since all WP candidates scored above 40%. SDP did well too, all scoring above 30%. The CSJ absence factor is deafening proof that SDP would do better without CSJ.
