met this guy named dr. michael gabriel. he is an expert regression hypnotist and he put everyone in his class to " sleep" in seconds. he was able to lead all in class to observe each own previous life thru' hypnosis en mass. for me i am able to observe own fetal life in the womb and life before that. interesting. know what i saw but can't divulge details for personal reasons. he had his own regression hynopsis done and his story is more interesting. his father worked in a farm in the midwest and had a pretty loving but demanding wife, his mother. woman got pregnant one day and was very temperamental. gave husband fits and drama. husband was too excited and temperamental too due to wife's temper. worked at the top of a grain silo one day and fell to his death. left wife and unborn baby with nothing but a farm, debt and no future. in dr. gabriel's regression hynopsis, he claimed his dad's sorry state, anguished personality and traumatic memories dominated the fetus in his mom's womb and became the dominant tenant in the baby. when born, his father became him.

Tell me the method he used to put you in a hypnotic state. What did he instruct you to do? What did you felt? etc

keep quiet, close eyes, breath slow, and listen. very simple. still awake, could hear his instructions. felt nothing, just the mind day dreaming and slowly more vivid images.

no refreshments served, no cool aid. all kinds of folks in class: atheists, agnostics, christians, hindus, buddhists, new agers, mixed bag, but no muslims. interesting to hear that a devout christian fundamentalist couple actually had past lives to share after the session. man was white blue eyed american, but claimed he was brave son of native American chieftain. fatally gored in the abdomen by raging bull while trying to impress big chief daddy. had been having tummy aches all his life but felt that specter of deep personal medically undiagnosable pain go away when he spilled his guts for all to hear.

I've seen clouds smiled at me before. I really did. There were two eyes, a nose and a wide mouth on those clouds. I swear!

The human mind is very susceptible to hallucination. When we see things, we make assumptions before really perceiving it. A person believing in past lives will inevitably "see" his past life at one point of time.

have you ever dreamt of an ancient artifact never seen before while you stay put in sg while young, but when you grow older and able to travel you are shocked (literally out of your socks) to find it in a foreign land? that happened to me when i first visited kamakura. have repeatedly seen those tiny sculptured figurines in my dreams when i was a kid, but to see them up close in real life is a shocker. and they pre-existed me for centuries. they are not found in books, or books known to me.

Bro, timely to give the "heart sutra" a read, then reflect on your experience of your agitation, what caused it, why such event would cause it, what was your state of mind when your perception allowed you to reach such a state, how the state affect your cognition, the resultant action and its subsequent impact, etc. though not exhaustive, just sharing

Watch the video and translation of the heart sutra.

Therein;........ no ignorance or ending of ignorance and etc...... (my take on that; all here may think we, ourselves are not as ignorant, yet all may be just as ignorant, therefore in certain things and times there is no point in fighting tooth and nail to proof who is more ignorant or wiser, therefore it doesn't matter.)

Did you let the word "freak", or any other words, or style and approach of a discussion, affect you? Why? Ego, perception, our propensity to make assumptions base on other peoples words and actions, or what?..... the journey of self reflection, awareness, mindfulness begins  Ability to know it and control it helps in human interaction.

Fortunate it happened and thank you to bro drifter

if theres no god in buddhism ...who decide on what kind of animals , insects , humans ...ect we will become if we do good or bad deed when we recarnated ? whose going to judge us ?

My POV, this question of yours arose from your mind fixed on one plane; in that there should be a source, one authority, one begining and an end. But then, I guess you would disagree on the aforementioned conjecture of your cognitive process; In that you think you have the freedom of thought, am asking a question, seeking an answer, and there is no invisible man. But much as we would like to be free in thoughts, all of our minds are pre conditioned in one way or another.

What gave rise to existence? In simple and novice terms in Buddhism; it just exists. If you do not subscribe to this, then you would also believe in the "invisible man", however much you would want to reject the idea. Herein lies the paradox in your cognition and resulting arguments, imo.

It is very difficult to come to terms on the concept of "no begining":(
