Bitterness and rancour everywhere in the aftermath of the PE, the only faction to escape being dragged into the recriminations is the WP. And people actually wondered why they kept silent throughout the campaign. Give LTK credit, he is one damn savvy politician and strategist.

Actually PE is like deciding whether 刘协 or 刘宏 becomes ceremonial emperor。刘程强 already 割据一方 自立为王。三分新州有其一。The other opposition parties are simply too stupid to understand the game. If one more party can do what LTK did, then we'd have a properly checked and balanced Parliament. But no, they're too stupid to understand that and too egoistic to think themselves always right and others always wrong.

Ramseth said this 24 hours before the PE result, LOL

WP's Manifesto: End Elected Presidency.

You must be another blurfuck. None of the political parties were involved. They all kept quiet officially. As private individuals they were just like another citizen, involved in someway.

Did you see Kenneth Jeyaretnam anywhere during the PE. And you started a thread on a non event.

Not officially, but each party do pull their weight on their preferred candidate. LHL said TT will make a good President, Nicole Seah supports TJS, GMS supports TKL. As individual singaporean as it seems, they still belongs to political parties and they can influence the voters right?

Relax la bro. So violent for fuck. Even though none of the political parties were involved there are lots of clowns that are already saying they ain't gonna vote Nicole/Jeanette/NSP/SDP in 2016 purely because of TJS getting in the way of an otherwise certain TCB victory. Just saying that stigma cannot be attached to any WP candidates and thus the WP brand has escaped unscathed. As for KJ, he has no chance of doing anything in 2016 whether he got involved in the PE or not.

And GMS chose the Presidential candidate who LOST his DEPOSIT!

WP did not endorse anyone, not even individual WP candidates on personal capacity, one thing for sure, they run a tight ship under LTK, only a discipline party can take on PAP.

Securing more seats in Parliament is the only way to go.

The rest of the opposition better go back to their drawing board, just speaking up for the poor and weak will not get you enough votes to go into parliament, you need strategy and tactics to beat PAP.

WP's aim is to end the elected presidency, as is mine. Yesterday's PE shows how ill-conceived the whole institution is. Apart from his 'custodial' role, which is unneeded and why would I trust one person rather than 87 anyway, he is supposed to be the unifier. to be above politics. Can Mr 34.19% now claim to be able to fulfil the second role?

This institution must now be changed, if not abolished. And the winner of the outcome would be... WP!

LTK is wise to keep WP out of the fray. The upside is minuscule but the downside is steep.

The only winner of this presidential election is Nathan.
Even TT now also half sian liao.

Why Nathan or TT?
Nathan because he has made more than enough doing little. This is the chance for him now to relax in comfort.
TT certainly doesn't need the money. His legacy up to now is intact, at least among 35% Singkies and many worldwide.
He could be putting his legacy at risk if something goes wrong in the next 5 years. At 70+ and very wealthy, he probably also wants to relax a little. SPH and GIC advisory positions would have been great for him currently. Even he himself said that.

Where is Ramseth? Please come and give conclusion .
