Had TKL not taken part in the election, TCB would have won. He lost by only 8000 votes. Assuming half of TKL's votes go to TCB and half go to TJS, that would have been enough for TCB to edge past TT.

Absolutely disgraceful. 6 years more of elite oligarchy having full control over every single institution in the country. 6 years for them to consolidate their position and tinker with the constitution. No doubt there will be changes to entrench their position. What is clear is that if no changes are made, the PAP will lose power within 10 years.
