Hi

Any forum members here who are good with computers? My computer sometimes restart by itself for no reason. It only happened recently. I know I can brig it down to the Sim Lim Square and ask the Ah Bengs to solve the problem for me and pay them some good money.

I thought I might learn new things myself. Are there anything I can do on my own? Is it the computer parts that are spoilt? What should I look out for if I open up my computer casing.

Thank you.

if you pay me suddenly i also will become expert

7th month now.

turn around and look who is standing behind you

do provide more details about your problem.
- how often is the frequent restart or is it blue screen of death?
- does it happens when you are doing a specific task or completely randomly?

test your rams for errors first.

Talking about this, anyone knows how to retrieve the contacts that I deleted in my iphone? The contacts was deleted about 9 months ago, hence there is no point in doing any restoration from itunes.

Wahaha...wicked!

must try first, no choice. repair fees not cheap too. If really bo bian, COMEX is coming, moe worthwhile to get a new PC. Anyway its reasonable price nowadays with good specs.

Try to reformat first.

Interesting suggestion that usually worked in the past. However, I recently went around SLS for window shopping. When I asked around, all said reinstall CDs will not be provided. How then to reformat and reinstall with new computers?

For OEM PC / Laptops they don't provide you, instead you will have to create backup CDs.

check your RAM and motherboard.

Also run a full anti-virus scan on your PC.
