I read from wiki and it mentioned like 40 million overseas chinese with like 30 million in SEA countries. Are there any more stats on this?

don't quote wiki. wiki mostly written by white nerds who never have frens who aren't white, and might have counted in any native-born chineses(sg chinese, matland chinese, indon chinese, thai chinese, viet chinese, filipino chinese etc...) as "overseas chinese". if you looking for number of chinaman in SEA, dun ask a white boy. they can hardly tell the difference between a chinese , a jap or a korean.
you think they care that singapor or matland chineses think they something special 'cause they didn't live in china or taiwan for a longer time than chinamen!?!?

Australia + NZ has 0.5m. UK has 0.5m. Canada has 1m. USA has 3m. Singapore has 3m. Philippines has 6m. Thailand has 7m. Malaysia has 8m. Indonesia has 9m. That's my guesstimate. Europe and the rest of the world I can't even guess.

when i say overseas chinese i mean all ethnic chinese regardless of whether they were born in china or not. In fact i would like to not include china ppl that emigrated overseas cos then that's not really counted. I mean indon chinese that consider themselves chinese but have indon names. Unless they somehow give up calling themselves chinese or are mixed.

There is a total of 44,650,311 ethnic Chinese as of 31 Dec 2010. Then figures are monitored and compiled by the San Franciso Han Chinese Overseas ASsociation. Only those who are children of pure Han heritage qualify. The Association was formed in the 19th century to track mainland Chinese working on the railways in the US north west and gold minds near San Franciso. There are representatives in countries where there a Chinese communities. To date there are reps in 103 countries including Surinam, Seychelles etc. They collate data from clan association and the main source is when kids enrol for Chinese classes and by word of mouth.

i didn't enroll in any chinese clan association and i bet there are quite a huge number of chinese ppl that don't do that either. I am of pure chinese heritage both parents from the same dialect group. Of course my MT in school was chinese. I wonder if that data was included in the san francisco han chinese OA. Btw kids enrolling in chinese classes doesn't make him a chinese. A white or black kid learning to speak chinese doesn't mean he's chinese neither does a chinese kid learning german makes him a german person.

One day some mad PRC scientist might successfully engineer a bio weapon to target non ethnic Chinese around the world, when that happens then the 100 odd million overseas and the 6 billion back in the mainland will be the only humans left on the planet, likewise the opposite might happen too.

ROC overseas compatriot affairs commission has the numbers at 39.5 million as of 2009. PRC overseas chinese affairs office has the numbers at 45 million as of 2010.

Youre asking me a ridiculous question. I was merely curious. In any case to answer your question I would say neither. 40 million out of 1300 million or 92% of that number is pretty small hence most Chinese still reside in china. Remember that possibly a huge percentage of that 40 million were not born in china making thenumber that left originally even smaller. Ppl have always been traveling all over the world since ancient times not necessarily due to their home country being poor or anything. Pls take note of that .

Don't need to argue. Our ancestors came here when times in China were bad, that's true. But the times were bad here too. They helped build what it is here now. Fuck the PRCs now. Fuck them off back to PRC since PRC is so good now, why are they here? Simple. Because they're fucking greedy. Give them a US or Euro visa and they'd be gone.
