I remember seeing Anne Wong when she was younger & cuter:D
It was at Shangrila Hotel & she was giving the prize to winners of the Scalexctric slot car racing.

Regression is what is now going on in Spore.

They are still using the same old formula of demolishing, renovating, ....., Spore.

They now want to replace the old with new immigrants & expect people to live on yester-year wages.

Rewind to Spore part II with a new cast but the same old PAP

This is a very good analogy to compare the human aspects re:FTs and older sinkies and the older buildings that are not around anymore.

By Larissa Cummings / The Daily Telegraph / March 15, 2010

The couple's good friend, George Tsoi, told reporters outside Central Local Court, where Tang was due to appear this morning, she was not a violent woman and was "a lady's lady".
" She is 100 per cent love Mr Tang. Even go out, look after Mr Tang. Hold hands with Mr Tang,'' Mr Tsoi said.
"She is a lady... She won't be able, if I give her a chicken, to help me to kill.''
Mr Tsoi, who met the couple through their Shanghai university alumni club in Sydney, said he thought of them like "parents".

Poison fear ... alleged killer Clara Tang and her husband.

Clara Tang is accused of bludgeoning and stabbing her 98-year-old husband Ching Yung Tang - her partner of 70 years - in their Sydney apartment in March last year.
She has pleaded not guilty on the grounds of mental illness when appearing in court last week and has been released on bail, confined to a nursing home, while a trial date is set.
Mrs Tang allegedly feared her husband was poisoning her food, according to a report in the Sun Herald newspaper.
Police alleged Mrs Tang confessed to killing her husband, who could not walk without a cane, during a struggle.
In the week leading up to the death police allege, Mrs Tang had taken to phoning her granddaughter saying: "They are scheming against me; they are poisoning me; they are trying to kill me."

One helluva allegedly haunted place, it was iconic before it was demolished. The first building you see when you exited from the CTE tunnel at Orchard Road exit.

The last good one I tasted was a few years back. That one was solid! Milky white, hard, not-sticky and sweet tasting too! Unlike the ones they sell these days. Soft and sticky to the touch. Taste mostly of malt and poor coloration. :(

Funny how "Mini LKY" singveld have arrowed you to be a clone of mine, just because you have a nick like that and carried an avatar. Luckily the host is not like him. Anyway i had intended to resurface this thread so this reply comes as convenient. :D

Hey! Shi Jin is NOT a clone of the OA guy / clone guy who likes football, hates pappies and very observant in this forum. :D

Shi Jin is an admirer of the character Shi Jin in the water margin and even told us all the story about Shi Jin!

I don't think they demolished Cockpit Hotel. Didn't they renovate it so that the windows didn't face the Istana:confused:

How embarrasing for the tenants to see the old leaf in his swimming trunks :o

Cheating while playing golf!! ha ha ha

Both Cockpit Hotel and Raffles Hotel lay claims to inventing Singapore Sling. Wonder which side is true? But since Cockpit is no more, Raffles has that claim uncontested.

Can u imagine an angmor telling his spg gf?

"I have a secret to tell u."
"What is it? Tell me."
"After I enter the cockpit, I will tell u." :D

Coming back to the topic of food. On a recent trip to KL by car, I stopped at a rest stop along the highway. I can't remember which one. Anyway, there was this malay chap on a motorbike ice cream stall parked on the lot, away from the car parking spaces. When I walked over to check it out, he was selling the vanilla ice cream sandwich between 2 pieces of brown bread. My god, I had not eaten that in years. Of course, I bought it in a jiffy. I think it was less than Ringitt$2. Very cheap, and really brought back memories. LOL.
