Another EPF in India .. up rate to 9.5% this year !!!
Finance ministry on Wednesday has cleared the central board of trustees (CBT) proposal to raise the provident fund rate to 9.5 per cent for 2010-11 for the 4.7 crore employees provident fund (EPF) subscribers.
A top finance ministry official told Financial Chronicle that formal notification in this regard is expected shortly.
The 9.5 per cent EPF rate is subject to the condition that the labour ministry would lower the interest rate next year if there was any shortfall in the fund to meet the increased EPF rate this year</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
