When the Aussie gov't changed the residency requirement for PR status, increase the time you had to stay in Aust. She chose to scuttle back to Australia rather than stay in Spore

Singapore isn't your home. Singapore is a company that belongs to the Lees.

The Lees have actually done very well and Singapore Inc shares are at an all time high.

In order to benefit from the asset enhancement that the Lees have achieved, you need to cash out and move.

You can then lead a life of leisure and comfort somewhere else instead of being forced to work like a dog by the Lees.

I think if you are a PR you have to show that you have stayed in Singapore for a period of time before it is renewed.

They can't, because earning is in another foreign country. But I think the main point is, they were given PR so they can contribute to the country because of their skills. And not just something that they can get like a paper cert.
