Now within the days he has been endorsed by
1) Lee Hsien Loong - The PM
2) Goh Chok Tong - Former PM and next on the current protocol list
3) MG Chan - Cabinet Minister
4) SR Nathan - President

If this is the meaning of independent, than what the hell does partisan means.

There is this Mr Singh from PM GRC who took the first leak about PAP preferred candidate which I believed Tony Tan was PAP choiced candidate. However, the Bayee later scolded Shit Times for taking his words out of context. From this matter alone, Tony Tan was long prepared as preferred candidate but PAP kept the secret so well hidden until recently.

Not entirely true. MGC endorsed all 3 candidates. Its quite refreshing to hear Mai Gee Chiu say that Tan Kin Lian is also a good presidential candidate. Did I hear him rightly?

In the context of PAP groupthink/terminology, independent means no longer holding any official Pap/govt or govt-related positions while partisan means "once a Pappie always a pappie!" A leopard cannot change its spots!
