This mediacorp produced program apparently asks contestants questions relating to Singapore. I haven't watched it but have seen the highlights/shots during TV commercials.
Ok, understand that they show mostly the ridiculous answers in the highlights for comic purposes and to attract viewers. Anyway, it's not surprising that many people are ignorant or uninformed about general knowledge and SG's history.
What amazes me is some of the answers people give to questions which they obviously know nothing about. For example, to a question on SG's independence date, someone gave a ridiculous random date, which I forget.
Don't know the answer, fine, just say don't know.
But where did they learn to give a ridiculous random answer to something they know nothing about? Did they learn this from their parents or their teachers or their friends, to give an absurd answer when they have no idea what the correct answer is?
