Some politicians and election candidates should consider retiring from the political scene. As the Taiwanese political commentators put it, they should consider going into the "zheng zhi li shi shan dong". ("political historical mountainhole")

Some criteria suggestions for those who might want to consider retirement:

1. Those who declared that they would stand for elections but never did.

2. Those who failed to turn up on time on nomination day.

3. Those above 80 years old, and more importantly, threatens people.

4. Those who lost their election deposits, and more importantly, claimed that they were standing in a 3 corner fight because of support from the people.

5. Those who got less than 40% of the valid votes and more importantly, were seldom heard from pre, during and post elections.
