Chiam took a claculated risk and went all in on the GRC side. If he swap position with his wife, he would have won handily. That was a guaranteed 1 win for the oppo if he stayed on. Although, I have to say that as an oppo candidate, he as useless as tits on a bull.

Agree Chiam wife bring PP down. SPP playing bad game. And will be lost in history. Very hard for SPP to stand up again.
Unless SPP can recruit more high caliber people, otherwise, I believe they will demise before the next GE. CST should have known better than to put his wife in PP. The voters may be treating it as another "family run" party, which tries to deny outsiders a chance. As SPP's support in PP has been in steady decline since the last 2 GEs, I suppose the eventual demise of the SPP will be inevitable. Nevertheless, given the good track record of CST's consistent care for PP, he should respectably be well honored for this and it should be time for him to retire his golden years.
