SGP mata PCC gun mis-fire in MRT Jamban! 1st World laughingstok!

I am no revolver and holster expert but I think he must have somehow caught the hammer when zipping up his trousers. The hammer would have been cocked less than the distance before the catch, and upon release, hit the bullet primer and set it off.

Would this be possible?

lianbeng wonders why his revolver can misfire?
if he is sitting on toilet bowl to pangsai then why didn't he hang his pants on the hook behind the door?
how to pangsai with pants dangling at ankles - the floor so dirty then cannot wipe backside properly coz must turn to 1 side to wipe mah.

Div posting or HQ?

Was with traffic police after OCT training. For patrol attachment was with Echo before going TP

Loved my time in patrol. Eye opening and si beh shoik. Really a cherished memory for me. All you NCOs who get to do it for 2 years are really damn lucky. I was basically behind a desk once i was posted to TP

Wow! Summon king! LOL!

CISCO guards things like ATM cash escorts, banks and goldsmiths. I think it's reasonable and for them to be armed. Trouble is maybe the training and attitude with firearms.

What is the different between police and aux police?

It doesn't means that people armed then those thing they guard are protected.
If they are not able to guard your gun properly, it is even more danger as it may be taken over control by others.

lianbeng also went to certis cisco for security course but decided not to take the test - purposely failed it.:)

Why purposely failed it. CISCO is commercial, not NS. Nobody forced you to attend anyway.

would not have happened if he left the top chamber empty on his revolver. cowboys learned that lesson over a hundred years out in the wild wild west.

I don't get it. A revolver needed to be pulled hard on the trigger to cock before the fire. Two steps in one ?

Cisco train for much shorter time in PA.
Ex policemen here kindly confirm.

What I know is, PNS and CISCO 3 months, regulars 6 months. I think regulars have more law courses to attend to since most of them are expected to be able to become investigators. PNS are all routine patrol and station duties. CISCO I'm not sure, maybe different security courses. Firearms training, I think should be about the same for SW.38 revolver. However, I understand that regulars are trained in M16 too as they may be expected to join SOC (PTF).

CNB training 7 months.... Knn extra one month do what?
Police officer ranks also 6 months? No ocs equivalent?

No way would that ever happen; not in a million times in terms of probability. If the revolver is properly holster with the thumb snap it is literally impossible to discharge a round.

Unless the round discharge itself which is very unlikely . Even so the probablity is very low.

aahhhh i see. There's a thumb snap. But is it easy to "unsnap" it if you brush across it in a swift and forceful motion? in any case, the cisco guard surely get sack liao.

I don't really know. Unlike SAF BMT where everybody is trained together, SPF separates regulars, PNS and CISCO.

Aux mata not much power. Theirs is confined to the area they look after, be it checkpoints, PSA etc. State police is authorised to act, arrest all over S'pore.

Not sure about duration of the respective courses but am sure CISCO chaps are trained by their own instructors. Not too sure about your last sentence. On second thoughts, not likely. SOC carry M16?

lianbeng says they can act as a look-out for police. u know they may be inside any private car passing by seeing a crime in progress and radio the police car to arrest them -- remember the yishun jungle prostitute case?:)
