The National Solidarity Party has finalized details of the Malay Issues Forum as announced earlier on in Berita Harian.

It will be held on 11 Feb 2011. It will be a closed door forum via invitation only. Venue will be disclosed to participants upon confirmation of attendance. Those who are interested can email NSP. There are limited seats available and response from invited guests are overwhelming. We may not be able to accommodate too many public requests for invitation.

PAP lawyers will be preparing the paperwork!

majority of malay and neh vote for NSP in Tampines also no use. The oppositions are losing by too big a margin in Chinese votes.

Personally I believe the Chinese votes are about 50-50 or at worst, 45-55.

Then why post in public forum? ;)

For cheap pubilicity.

The forum itself is held in a yet to be disclosed location; its closed door and via invitation only. That speaks volumes in itself. This ensures NSP can stage a "wayang" without the embarassing and difficult questions that will otherwise be asked in an open forum. A lot of the damage has been self-inflicted of course.

Consider this:

Have an open forum and someone might call Goh Meng Seng on his remarks on Malays coming from disfunctional families. LKY's remarks about "muslims being less strict" pales in comparison to Goh Meng Seng's callous remarks about Malay,

Then there is Syafarin Safif's status update on facebook. LIke Sinar Shekar, the Malay politician had labelled "a few dogs barking outside his gate" the Malays, who were critical and have been asking tough questions about the Bureau.

Sure you will. Make the forum a public open door forum then.

It is not going to be a public open door forum because of space and time constrains. We don't want noise makers but serious participants who want to share with us their views without fear or favour.

Refreshment will also be catered for and thus, need to be accounted for.

Poor excuse. It sounds more like the NSP is afraid of being asked the critical and difficult questions. And this coming from someone who wants to challenge MBT to a debate.

This sounds contradicting. You want views without fear or favour without noise? Noise is usually suppressed by fear or favour.

Refreshment will also be catered for and thus, need to be accounted for.

This sounds more reasonable.

It is strange here. It is Malay Issues Forum whereby we want people from the community to share their views on various issues, not some vindictive and petty people to start trolling and beating other people down. Maybe I should reconsider sending the invitation to people like you.

There is no contradictions. NSP has always been focusing on issues, not some petty vindictive personal grudges. Noise are not suppressed but eradicated. Noise has no fear and roam everywhere. Just like a bee keep flying at your ears, you would just want to chase it away as it is just irritants. The bees can fly to some other place but you have your right to chase it away.
