Slavery means very hard work or drudgery.

Do we see very hard working conditions or work drudgery in SG? This is modern day slavery not unlike medieval slavery.

Many young women and young men leave their homes in poverty stricken countries to work in SG in very hard working conditions. Some of them pay as much as S$10,000 to the middleman to get a job, 2-yr contract in SG. This amounts to abt 1.1yrs their salary of $800 per mth.

Working conditions are tough and living conditions are appalling. And the sad part is, they cant break the two-yr contract because, if they do, and are sent back, they have no means to pay back the money they borrowed to come to SG. So they are stuck!!! A slave!!!!

How many of us know abt the PRC men and gals and filipinas who work under such conditions in SG? How many of us heard of filipina maids, PRC construction workers, PRC gals working in SATs, who are subject to such deals and conditions?

The pap allows their exploitation. As a singaporean, do you condone such slavery?

what about religion slavery ?

Religious slavery is voluntary. Voluntary negates slavery. Therefore no slavery. Just stupidity. No law or medicine can remedy stupidity.

nothing is voluntary ....there is a force behind it ..;)

when a baby is born ...he knows what god is ? ? ;)

there are no free-will ....

Do you see such modern slavery in SG?

Modern slavery is circumstantial economic slavery. You can don't do it but you'll starve. In the end, the choice is do it or die.

There's free will. The difference is between strong will independent and weak will reliant.

christains will tell you there is free will but at the same time they try to brainwashed you ...

unconscious decisions and freewill look the same to most ppl . ;) If physical processes in the brain cause our actions, then how can there be free will?

wahlaneh...
slavery in my limited understanding is being sold as an item to a master to be tortured until death.:D

You're free not to believe them.

oh...you could say that its free will and they are not cheated ....;):D

read my posts carefully before you jump to conclusions.

i am agreeing with Ramesth that for religion they hv freewill...for modern slavery, they were misinformed and cheated...try not to put words in my mouth.
