Looking at these people, whether they are in the minority or not proves that there is poverty.

There is poverty in SG just as there is poverty in every single country in the world. To deny this is just outright lying. I am declaring(like the idiot who started this thread) that there are no pple living in relatively poverty in SG. I am just unhappy that they lump everyone living in the smaller flats in Redhill as really poor pple. I have been living in this area most of my life, I have a lot of friends living in those apartments, many, if not all of them are doing relatively OK. I find it insulting to classify them as needy just becoz they choose to live in a smaller apartment :oIo::oIo::oIo:

Dude, I can't speak for the other places but have U even visited Redhill? I live there. What badly managed homes for the aged? The one room flats(the ones just in front of Redhill Market). The flats for the poor was just renovated not long ago. Got lift to every floor and the paint work still looks pretty new. Even the old apartments behind those(the ones along Bukit Merah Central) are in pretty good shape. And no U don't see pple living/begging on the streets or old broken down flats/apartment around here. I think U need to come visit the place and take a walk before U post your comment.

If you are looking from the outside, it all appears ok. Have you taken a look inside? Why are there many cases of decomposed bodies found at these places? You hardly get to read of such bodies in 4 and 5 bedroom flats.

What about reports of families that cannot make ends meet? Trust me, I know what I wrote and I don't need to visit the place and take a walk before commenting here. I have even been inside these units. Have you?

It appears to me that you are one chap easily convinved with the exterior only. Do not judge the book by its cover. Read or enter these units.

Were you expecting block numbers and unit numbers to be given? Do not be sensitive. Those areas mentioned houses 1-rm flats. Did I mention Pasr Ris, Sengkang or Punggol?
