i agree to sum extend. the killing part put aside first.
we dunno their family background. maybe parents die young, single parent.
work long shift/long hours to make a living.
sumtimes the parents have to give up time for their kids so to earn money to support their education, lodging etc. you cant have the both world sumtimes.
dey lack of warmth yes, but give up daily jobs to accompany them?
den no money eat grass??
in this case, the victim also taunted them, so he is well brought up?
tis is juz my view. no1 is born in perfect family.
Bro, I understand what you're saying.
But what I think is required these days is more accountability from parents for their childrens' misdeeds.
When people have children, they only want the upside. Look after them in old age, carry on the family name, have a complete family, earn money to support them. They don't want the downside. When the young children become gangsters, criminals, including killers, it's neither their fault nor responsibility. This is not acceptable.
For single parents struggling to make a living, I sympathise with them, but that's no reason for the child to grow up as a gangster and killer. The parent may not be able to accompany them all the time, but at least set a good example, impart good values, monitor them and make sure they become decent people. Some parents don't even do these basic things.
Btw, the parents should only be accountable and punished when their young children become killers. Let's not expect the 80 year old parents of a 50 year old killer to be punished. Of course, they are still accountable.
