PAP is just a scarecrow

Even if you defeat them, another elitist party will pop up.

Sinkie peasants should force legislation on the elites to work hard to generate social freebies for them.
But honestly, can you vote in 66% opposition MP to pass a welfare bill?

Think about the doctors, lawyers, bankers, businessmen etc. Ever wonder why they never seem to be unhappy with PAP?
When HOTA, CPF, etc changes are made, got any lawyers come out to criticize PAP or not?

Social redistribution is nothing more than a synonym for thievery. Robin Hood was no hero, that's for sure.

In normal democracies, you will find that the political systems usually swing between centre-right and centre-left. Only in very rare situations will it swing either far-right or far-left. This is because the people understand that there needs to be a balance between the working masses and the elites. In SG, the peasants are too stupid and only care about making money without caring about quality of life. Their peasant mentality is that quality of life will improve when they earn more money. Their brains are unable to comprehend that earning more money does not equate to better quality of life. Earning loads more money relatively may bring about better quality of life, but not just earning more.

If it is given that the majority of people are going to remain as peasants, why should this majority just suck it up and make life easy for the elites? Their strength is in their numbers and that is how they can make it count. If the elites don't like it, they can FO to another country. The reason why PAP can remain in power for so long is because they did provide real and significant improvements to the quality of life for peasants for the first 20-30 years. Whether that was to their credit or not is another issue. However, politics is no place for sentimental nostalgia and if the peasants want to live in a first world country, they should start thinking and acting like first world peasants.

In SG, every peasant thinks he is one rung above other peasants. That is why when one peasant makes it big, he starts looking down on and abusing other peasants. There is no empathy and that is why the system has swung so far to the right.

The real peasants of sinkieland are the poor. But you will be surprised that they are the least demanding and actually love the pap.

The ones with peasant mentality but middle-class living standard are the most dangerous.
