since now public buses base their fare on distant travelled, it would be prudent they stop at ALL the bus stops along their route.

many buses do not stop at certain bus stops like those along chinatown. they skip stops and only pause further down or even further up from the destination u wanted to alight.

base on distant, wouldn't we be charged even higher and yet still inconvenient ourselves whereby we have to walk longer to our destination?

eg. taking bus 64 going to plaza singapura. it doesn't stop at the bus stop nearest to plaza sin but by pass it to stop at another bus stop quite further away.

doesnt' that incur more fare cost and the inconvenience of walking back?

SBS has increased its fare so very often but how much have they improved on their public service proportionate to their fare increment?

by the way, are u satisfied with our public transport?

obviously not. just look at the mrt. it's suffering taking it.

yet the clueless minitoot and all the relevant spokespersons try to pacify that "it's a fairer" fare system.

MY FOOT!! HOW COULD IT BE FAIR WHEN ONE IS PAYING HIGHER FEE AT THE SAME OLD SORRY TYPE OF PUBLIC SERVICES?:oIo:

examples of such occurences are:

north/south bridge road

orchard road

shenton way

....and many others.

is that how public buses serve? to make u pay for longer distance and then make u walk a redundant route back to your overshot destination by by passing that nearer bus-stop?

bloodsucking transport ministry + gundu ahtiong driver = perfect formula to suck more blood

taking the mrt is even funnier and warped. if u wanna go fr queenstown to novena via mrt. it would mean taking the train southward to tg. pagar then change to N-S line at city hall and continue the train in reversal route going northward to orchard finally reaching NOVENA.

how would the fare be calculated base on distance travelled?

do not overlook the time wasted in some buses that take a longer route to reach the same destination. we have to pay more for longer distance, does sbs make comprises for delay in bus arrivals which is always the usual case?

the prc tiongs are better suited as F1 racer or train drivers. they are mostly daredevils and jerkers.
