Gang of 7 believed to be behind spate of attacks in Kallang; 3 arrested

SINGAPORE: A gang of seven was believed to have been responsible for the recent spate of attacks in the Kallang area on Sunday, which left one man dead and three others seriously injured.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said on Tuesday that three Malaysians have been arrested in connection with the attacks.

They are aged between 21 and 26 years old and were nabbed near Syed Alwi Road between 6pm and 10pm on Monday evening.

All three came from Sarawak and were general workers living in a dormitory in the area.

Four other suspects are still at large but CID has vowed to "go all out" to hunt them down.

Investigations are still ongoing to establish the identities of the remaining four suspects and also to determine if the suspects were involved in any previous cases of robbery.

Calling the crimes "vicious and violent", the CID said the men were caught after a 24-hour large scale island-wide operation that saw 100 police officers deployed to crack the crimes.

The three arrested will be charged in court tomorrow with murder and armed robbery with hurt.

An Indian construction worker was slashed to death and his body was found in an open field near the Kallang MRT station.

Three others were also viciously slashed and are now in the intensive care unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

They were robbed a total of S$400 and three handphones.

Thanks to PAP regime and their lap dogs who bring in
pimps and punks to suppress our wages and mess up our society .

Will George Yeo stepped out to announce the 4 have immunity? Or probably Wong Kan Seng said there is nothing Singapore poodles can do now. So need malaysian police to help nab the murderers. Don't forget local poodles are trained to sniff on opposition parties only, other chores are just past time work.

Have a feeling that those FTrash still at large would hack down a few poodles and rob them of their revolvers.

It sure looks like Peesai has becum of HK of yesteryears when Big Ring Bengs from Mainland China and Viet Gangs from the refugee camps romp the streets robbing jewellery shops and gunning down the poodles. From 3rd to 1st back to 3rd World again. Well Done, Familee TRAITORS!

Not just simple murder, complicates with money involve .

In the near future, we might see the come back of
kidnapping and blackmail cases .

Isn't it so obvious that the police are working their butt off finding cover to "relak one corner".

And they are the best police force compared with PRC police!

Gang of 7 believed to be behind spate of attacks in Kallang; 3 arrested

SINGAPORE: A gang of seven was believed to have been responsible for the recent spate of attacks in the Kallang area on Sunday, which left one man dead and three others seriously injured.

ASP Daniel Wong, Special Investigation Section, CID, said: "There were four random victims who were unknown to each other and we understand that this was committed by a group of suspects completely unknown to the victims. So it was harder to draw the connection, link them and establish their identities."

The attackers first struck on Sunday at 12:15am - a 24-year-old man was attacked at a playground near Block 44 Sims Drive. About half an hour later, near Kallang MRT station, a 44-year-old man was slashed from behind.

Another was found injured along the PIE near Sims Way exit at 7am. Half an hour later, a fourth victim was fatally attacked near a condominium at Sims Way.

Even though four suspects are still at large, some residents and workers in the area trust that security is still in place.

"We are familiar with the ground, we are not afraid of it. But if there are strangers around, then we have to take care," a resident said.

"I've been working here for about three years plus. Should be no problem," said a worker.

The three who have been arrested will be charged in court on Wednesday with murder and armed robbery with hurt.

=> The 5th murderer is the 154th, which is encouraging Sporns to let down their guard despite the seriousness of the situation to make the Familee TRAITORS look good regardless!

=> No wonder the FAPee TRAITOR ministers insist that FTrash dorms be built away from Ave 6 and other Elite Areas!

Let's see. These 7 FTrash lost even their pants at the casinos and are venting out on Sporns?

There are murmurs that the crime rates in the eastern areas have shot up.

This is due to the foreign workers being abandoned by the construction firms involved in the IR projects.

These companies declared bankrupt immediately after they had collected money for their work, leaving their workers in the lurch.

Now its left with TWO Murderers going around out there!

Five nabbed, two at large

FIVE men who carried out what police described as a 'cruel' and 'inhumane' spate of attacks in the Kallang area on Sunday have been arrested after an operation involving more than 100 policemen.

The five, all Sarawakians who worked here as cleaners and odd-job labourers, went on a planned orgy of violent theft which has rarely been seen here.

The men, some of whom stayed at a Syed Alwi Road lodging house, are believed to have hatched their crimes with two others. The gang went on a knife-wielding rampage that left one person dead, two others in intensive care and another with half his palm hacked off - all for $400 cash and three cellphones.

A few things to note about this case.

1. Headlines in todays ST. Very rare for such cases, and shows how serious and unusual this case is. Of course, it's also because 5 were caught. If none was caught, the news would probably be a tiny column buried in the Home section.

2. The nature of the crimes is unusually serious. Very rarely do people stab ordinary people they don't know on the streets for a few dollars and their handphone and ez link cards. Violent crimes are usually associated with people the victims know, after getting into disputes or entanglements with the perpetuators. Or perhaps in extreme cases, where the victim is about to deposit a huge sum of money for his company or a jewellery shop theft or something like that. Even if someone is robbed by someone they don't know, it's usually a snatch theft, or a grab and run or a threat first. This case, they stabbed first without even threatening or even before the victim had a chance to resist.

3. In view of the seriousness and severity of this case, the police chief, mayor, mp or minister should come out and reassure the public. They should find out the reasons for the crimes and also question the people who hired them in the first place. Immigration chief should also have to clarify the immigration policy and explain why these people were let in.

Singaporeans have already pre-warned the government of the FT impact. Your suggestions and queries will still pass off as unoticed by PAP whose priorities is to get themselves rich before the people. You should have kown our governement well by now that economy comes at all cost. This has been repeated several times in bloggersphere and forums "You die your business" and just that, PAP pat their backs and simply walk away with ST doing the remaining shit cleaning job without stirring the unbearbale smell of PAP.
