The retarded Thai govt led by Abishitz is a model of sheer incompetence
How they allow 300,000 riff raffs to congregate together is beyond me.
In Singapore, any public gathering of more than 4 people is considered an illegal assembly. They would be crushed by our efficient Home Team before their numbers can get to double digit..
If Thailand has adopted this effective ruling, there would not have been any bloodshed.
Thailand should be kicked out of ASEAN, they are a shame to this elite regional grouping.
Thai troops authorised to "shoot immediately", at least 50 deadPosted: 19 May 2010 1215 hrs
BANGKOK : At least five people, including an Italian journalist, were killed Wednesday during an army crackdown on an anti-government protest site in Bangkok, police and a hospital said.
"An Italian man was shot and died before arriving at the hospital," said Police Hospital director Jongjet Aoajenpong. "He's a journalist. He was shot in the stomach," he added.
Four more people died and "many" were wounded, said a police spokesman, Major General Piya Uthayo, after military armoured vehicles smashed through the "Red Shirt" protesters' barricades and armed troops moved in.
Thai troops battled with anti-government protesters Wednesday, after smashing into their rally zone using armoured vehicles and tearing down towering barricades of tyres and razor wire.
Gunfire was being exchanged in clashes in the protest encampment, which the "Red Shirts" have occupied for six weeks, defying a military containment operation launched last Thursday that left 39 dead.
