I did not want anybody getting cut by the broken glass so I used tissue to carefully scoop up the smaller fragments after picking up the shattered bulb as well as the larger pieces of glass.

A couple was spotted at the NTUC FairPrice at Junction 8 in Bishan spending around 15 minutes opening multiple packaged egg cartons. The couple transferred eggs from various cartons to select bigger eggs before paying for a single carton.

Korean Supermarket Sweetness Standards

  • Premium Level: 12 to 15° Bx (Guaranteed minimums for premium strawberries and melons).
  • Ultra-Sweet Level: 18+° Bx (Strict benchmark for premium Korean Shine Muscat grapes). [1, 2, 3]

Usually I find non sweet ones mixing with a passable sweetness ones. For fruits, I will go to Cold storage or Giant.

At least they dont do such tricks. I cannot blame consumer for wanting to get ripe ones as we have no no quality assurance at NTUC. Go check out what Korean govt requires as above. They are strict about it.
