It's proposed that alll HDB flat sales proceeds will go back into CPF, regardless of CPF or cash portions originally used to financed the original acquisition of the flat. This is to ensure sufficient retirement funds.

Perhaps, to prevent retirees from squandering their retirement money on gambling, prostitution or standing for election.
 
The irony...retirement funds cannot take out in full when u retire. Is that daft or what? :confused:

Selling flat has nothing to do with retirement funds under existing laws of cash back to cash and CPF back to CPF.

Can spend still ok, but cannot take out 100% and then die leh? Money can bring to coffin? Can ask my dear MP about this?

no problem. just ask for higher COV when u sell off your hdb flat. :)
