On May 18, 2026, President Donald Trump announced that he had called off a "major" military strike on Iran that was scheduled for the following day, May 19
Trump stated he postponed the attack at the direct request of the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
He indicated the delay was for a "short period of time"—roughly two or three days

You should get your truth direct from the source, instead from dubious 'news' outlets.

Let's face it. No more oil and gas will come from the Gulf.
China has rare earth. US now controls oil and gas
Exploration and development for oil and gas in Indonesia will intensify

The "roughly two or three days" timeframe comes from direct verbal comments President Trump made to reporters at the White House on Monday, May 18, 2026, rather than his initial written post on Truth Social

Even if iran dismantled it's nuclear apparatus, like what Libya did, the end will be the same. Washington has decided the country must be destroyed.

New Deadline
On Wednesday, 20 May 2026, Trump announced that he would give Iran until the coming weekend(Friday through Sunday, 23-25 May) to finalize a deal, following the postponement of a planned strike earlier in the week. Trump indicated that a decision on whether to resume attacks could come within the next 10 days, during a speech at the Peace Council.

Why complain? Winnie said he wants the Strait of Hormuz to be opened up, no? He should be grateful.

The ME bros are not able to take Iran out, hence got to ask US to take care of their problem since neither Russia nor China will chap.

Heard that the GCC countries had told Trump that they won't allow the US to use their air bases if he will want to attack Iran again. This is the main reason why he had to TACO again upon his return from China.

Take out Iran, then they have no leverage in the Bargaining for more Hao Liao

Iran has shown the world that the US has been defeated in the energy war in the long run. It has already lost its credibility and influence in most of the Global South. On top of that, it is losing the war on the petrodollar to independent sovereign nations such as Russia, Iran, and China. Soon, we will have most of the Global South as well, which the BRICS have been discussing for years. In a matter of two months, everything that was being discussed at the BRICS table has been put into action by Iran for everyone to see. Yes, it is possible to move into a new system of payment settlement that completely bypasses the petrodollar. That adds to the moment of American desperation.

It's Israel that wants Iran out so it becomes the only top dog in middle East.

Probably after Iran destroyed US bases, rain started pouring over the whole region. Giving doubt on who is friend and who is foe.

While President Trump and his administration claim that a deal is in its "final stages," no official document has been signed as of May 22, 2026. Reports suggest a one-page, 14-point MOU has been drafted to trigger an immediate ceasefire and launch a 30-day negotiation window.
President Trump stated he is willing to wait "a few days" for a "100% good answer" from Tehran but has threatened to resume "nasty" military strikes if no deal is reached.
Iranian officials have dismissed claims of a breakthrough as "fake news" intended to manipulate global oil markets. They maintain that a U.S. naval blockade remains a major barrier to any formal agreement.

US presidents will dance and swing at the dictate of Israeli leaders.
