If the CECA driver had deliberately targeted the mother and child, that would be murder, using the car as a weapon. This is why it is termed as an accident owing to driving without due care.

The husband claims his wife is remorseful because he realises that all her words and actions after the accident show not an ounce of concern for the victims. On the contrary, she shifted blame entirely onto the victims. It's as if they are in the wrong for colliding with her precious car.

It's a small open air carpark space, but (if you believe the Viet woman's eyewitness testimony) the CECA woman managed to ram into the little girl at a high speed and have the wheels roll over her several times.

Many years ago during a chess tournament for primary school children at Bishan CC, a CECA mother sat on a chair that I had taken for my son to rest on between games. I placed his backpack and water bottle on it when he was playing. To my utter fury, that woman sat on that chair after placing my son's belongings on the ground. I told her that she can take another chair that was stacked up in a corner as I had taken that one for my child. She said ok, but after my son finished his game, his chair was gone. The CECA woman took it along with her to another spot for her to sit on, leaving my son's belongings on the floor. This is exactly how selfish and remorseless these CECAs are. She simply didn't want to walk a distance to get another chair that was stacked up.
