S'porean woman, 84, dies after accident involving power-assisted bicycle in Bedok South
Her family is appealing for witnesses.

An 84-year-old woman died after her skull was fractured in an accident involving a power-assisted bicycle near a bus stop at Blk 50 Bedok South Avenue 3 on Jan. 30.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed with Mothership that they were alerted to an accident on Jan. 30 at 3:20pm.
The accident involving the Power-Assisted Bicycle (PAB) and a pedestrian along Bedok South Avenue 3 towards Tanah Merah Kechil Road, said the police.
An 84-year-old female pedestrian was conveyed unconscious to Changi General Hospital by the SCDF, where she subsequently passed away.
The family of the 84-year-old victim took to SG Road Vigilante's Facebook Page to appeal for witnesses.
They said that the victim was "found unconscious with skull fracture and massive brain bleed and died shortly on arrival at Changi [General] Hospital"."My 85-year-old mother, a healthy, active pioneer, was walking towards the traffic lights/ bus stop along Bedok South Ave 3, near Blk 50 and Bedok View Secondary School."
The police said that a 43-year-old male PAB rider is assisting with investigations."We are pleading for witnesses who saw what had happened to contact the Bedok Police station. Grieving family would like closure. Your help is much appreciated."
Police investigations are ongoing.
