Rant. (31F) Why is it’s so hard to find a decent human being.

Listen I know that we all come with our wounds and scars but damn the dating scene is just so effing rough out here.

I’ve never claimed to be perfect and I’m freaking far from it but oh god some of these guys….. like have you been raised by wolves?

And why has it just become the standard now to tell me just to come over to your place on the first date? Like no effort at all

Like I’m not like that and I’m not passing any judgements on those who hookup on the first date, to each is own but that’s just not me.

Like I’m not a prude but god, I have spent the last couple of years working on my self feeling secure about myself and I have been going back and forth on whether to jump back out there but jeez….

Idk if it’s just the culture, timing or just a combination and shit luck when it comes to men.

• I went on a “grab a drink” date the ended up being 4 hours of great conversation, turned into dinner, etc. Next day he texts me he has suddenly decided to be poly. Shits exhausting. At least he didn’t ghost.
• Online dating does suck and I think it’s a pain in the ass for anyone who’s actually trying to put some effort. More than half of the girls in my region don’t have anything on their bio and whenever I match with someone their lack of effort is so frustrating. It’s like “hi and how are you?” and trying to show interest on their hobbies or whatever isn’t enough to make conversation. It’s like I need to show how funny and interesting I am in 3 lines over text so they even try to make conversation like a normal person. I am not gonna try to be some smooth casanova because I matched with you on Tinder. I stop putting effort when people don’t reciprocate.
• No shit, took me 64 dates to find a woman that I’m truly interested in on a dating app. 3 weeks later she went back to her ex lol.
