Taiwanese youths of age would have to serve their country in mandatory National service,

Were there NONE whom would have LEARNT military defensive skills to defend oneself and others? Should more emphasis be TAUGHT to military servicemen, to defend themselves, loved ones, others and society?

Ultimately, it is about HOW one defend oneself against an ARMED or UNARMED person acting crazy.

c) In that precious few seconds, rush towards the assailant, give him a good hard punch in between the nose and eyes, the back of his head, or his solar plexus, weak points of a Human body that can STUN for a few minutes, to bring him down and even unconscious, enough time to tie and bundle him with one's belt to render him harmless to others......

It is only comprehensible that most will panic, but in the wake of such incidents, HUMANKIND WILL NEVER LIVE ON KNEES to the insane, BUT BE PREPARED ALWAYS ANYTIME, TO DO WHAT IS NECESSARY TO SAVE LIVES.....We can overcome, safely, when prepared and NONE needs to lose their own lives or heroics in taking down the insane....

Taiwanese men getting more and more guniang already, the current young adults probably served mainly 4 months of NS. For those that served the 1 year active service, probably can't learn much in that time

But while the NHI provides universal access to psychiatric care, social stigma and poor awareness lead to under-treatment of mental illness. Staff shortage also aggravate the situation. No offense taken. However, let's deal with technical and behavioral facts in a CLOSE QUARTER deadly MRT situation.

1. When one is faced with a gun, chances are pretty slim that one will survive. No mortal lives forever anyway. Would you just simply let the assailant kill you outright, or STAND and fight for a chance to survive?

The technical facts:-
a) It takes 3 seconds (it's a long time, enough to react - count with me - one thousand, two thousand, three thousand - see how long it takes?} to aim at a vital part of a Human body to kill someone.


b)Should the assailant just shoot without aiming, chances are that the bullet WILL hit one's body, BUT NOT vital parts. An MRT cabin is only less than 5 meters across, A bullet fired from a gun will need a further distance to reach its max velocity to punch thru a Human body.

At close range, the bullet will only punch a hole in the Human body, and a Human body is made up of hard muscle tissues and bones, that are far stronger to stop a bullet inside from shooting thru, unless a lucky shoot. Blood will flow, but not critical yet in that situation.


c) As the assailant will need to aim in order to kill, firing wild shots will not be successful in killing someone. Thus, grab the assailant, and it will STOP him from killing others. Even if a vital part is shot, it will take time for blood to flow out but will be enough time for OTHERS to react - NOT by running away, but to ASSIST in stopping the killer as he will be held back by the victims rigor mortis body....

No Human lives forever...better to die STANDING and FIGHTING BACK, than to be slaughtered like sheep, and in the process be able to save other fellow Human lives...that's how the insignificant nobody me was brought up, and enhanced thru my National Service for my country, beginning at Basic Military Training....( I still remember those sweaty and tiring days of trekking thru jungles, being AMBUSHED at close quarters, with Commanders shouting 'Contact Right - Charge!', or Contact left Charge!' or 'Contact Rear - form up the lines and CHARGE!!!'..)


d) Should one be far away from the length of the cabin and the assaliant, the assailant's natural behavior will be towards those closest to him. Throwing objects at him from a distance WILL distract his focus, as he will turn towards the object thrown at him and NOT at Humans, TO SHIELD himself.

As he had LOST FOCUS, for at least a few seconds, it will be the best precious few seconds to take him down, either with more objects thrown to distract and hurt him, for he to be taken down.

The assailant is only one, but WE are MANY.........and WE WILL NOT LIVE IN FEAR of mortal men, sane or insane....

Until recently, military service ln taiwan is only 6 months. It has now been extended to one year.
Which makes taiwan less competitive than its mainland siblings who dors bot have mandatory military service. And using every ounce of juice to be self sustaining making the best products.
