The aftermath of Deepavali celebration in HDB playground...no different from those chinks burning joss paper during 7th month in HDB estates...

To the lady in the TikTok video, regardless if she is a born and bred fellow citizen, a new immigrant citizen, an S-pass holder or tourist:-

1. Thanks for your criticism, which is about cleanliness, an important Human value that Humanity cherishes, regardless of race, language or religion. THIS IS SINGAPORE.

2. HOWEVER, it is UNNECESSARY to PINPOINT or COMPARE HOW other ethnic groups celebrate their festivals, WHICH IS NOT WHOLE YEAR LONG, but only for certain occasions, as it may only lead to UNNECESSARY issues such as creating fault lines that would only DIVIDE our hard won and hard earned nation, built by hardwork and sacrifices of our Founding and forefathers whom gave us our today.....

3. Festivals are not often, and is a necessary time for one and others to enjoy that special day, to just let loose, be happy, de-stress, etc, on achieving another MILESTONE for a period of time, so long as one DOES NOT hurt or harm others.

What is such -of mere dirt or noise that ends at mandatory 10.30pm, when it is only for one mere day or even few hours?

Singapore is BUILT UPON TOLERANCE of each other whom may be different but only Humans 1st and after-all, before any divisions of life or Nationality, Ethnicity or Religion separate us. Such IDEOLOGY had been proven successful not just for show, of one month, one year but 60 years....

4.
Furthermore, it may be hard work for cleaners to do the clean up on such particular days, but the gain in uplifting of lives is far more than a few dollars that cleaners have to be paid.

Also, do credit our security forces whom are from various ethnic groups may not get to celebrate such festivals as they are ones whom have to work hard, to deal with those who go overboard, such as drunkards, drink-drivers, molesters, etc.....

5. Ultimately, it's about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, living in the shared environment in Singapore, a Multi-cultural nation like no other...

A case in point:-

The Japanese People are the CLEANEST and HYGENIC Humans on Earth, no doubts.

During the recent Olympic games, whereby the Japanese spectator contingent were seated together to support their home team, after the event, even when their home team lost the game, MANY spectators Worldwide and later-the cleaners, were astonished when the Japanese spectators were the only ones whom would pick up their own litter and throw such into litter bins....

And EQUALLY ASTONISHED were the Japanese spectators when the news was reported in various media, and the Japanese same spectators when asked about their actions, and they replied poignantly and asked back, in confusion - is that not what other Humans would do for personal cleanliness, hygiene and responsibility, and would had done the same....?

It took the Japanese Civilization CENTURIES to build up the culture of cleanliness, hygiene and personal responsibility, thru education on the need for such.

It will take other Nations decades to learn and succeed from the Japanese civilization today of Human capability, ...and probably for India - centuries later.....

Fireworks and crackers were released by CECAs at several condos along Dunearn Road on the night of Deepavali.
CECAs are celebrating all across Sg and leaving thrash all over. Their kind treat the clean streets of Sg as an eyesore. Must have rubbish and dump everywhere then they happy just like garage filled streets in India

Indian nationals must be so homesick that they try to recreate their homeland right here in S'pore.

A CECA boy who was in Primary 4, came home from school 1 day and asked his father: "Pa, today in school, my friends had a competition to see whose cock is the longest. My cock is longer than all of them. Why? Is it because I am a foreign Indian?" The father sighed, looked at his son in the eye and replied: "No. It is because you are 16 years old."

CECAs - It’s just like how India streets are like. A taste of home town
PM Lawrence Wong and Indian PM Narendra Modi were in a helicopter flying low over New Delhi when they saw several men squatting in the streets to defecate. PM Wong laughed and said that such a scene would never happen in clean and modern S'pore. A few weeks later, Modi was up in a helicopter during his visit to the Lion City, when he saw a single man squatting at a back lane passing motion. "I thought you claimed that this would never take place in your country", said Modi. PM LW took a closer look with his binoculars and replied: "That is one of the migrant workers from India doing what he does naturally, after realising that he is in Little India." LOL!

You can’t take an Ah Nei habit out irregardless of which country they go to. Good luck to the tons of Indian villagers and rubbish they bring in and leave behind for those who rent their homes to CECAs

In S'pore, you can take the person out of the HDB heartland, but you cannot take the heartland mentality out of that person.

What to do? All around the island are CECAs and their kids pop sparklers all over the place including playing those pop bombs on corridor. Fun for them hor, nuisance for others they don’t care. Maybe this is the heartlanders mentality
