The day an 11-year-old did not come home from school

Primary sch teachers are the lousiest of the crop. The best teachers get sent to JCs and the next best to secondary schs.
Jc teachers need at least honours degree.
Most are attached to secondary school after their NIE and the not so good and the poly route ones goes to primary school.

RIP Yong Le. May life be better for you next time.

Yong Le was obviously neurodivergent as a highly sensitive person, HSP. More so with an autistic sibling.

MOE needs to recognize this group of students and train teachers to identify such students.

Parents also need to be aware if they are raising children who are neurodivergent.

Depends on which era....in 1980s....its true best teachers are primary school

1990s in primary school, at least the teachers truly cared about the students well-being, after Lee Fuck Loong became PM secondary school become total shit, and now the whole country also turned into shit thanks to him and 65%

So how did he kill himself?

He was found at the void deck? That means not jump story?

Or did he volunteer for booster?

or any theft, not just panties. kids who steal are thick skinned anyways in their mind. they either think they can get away with it or enjoy the thrill of sneaking up on others when no one is watching. in this case if child was autistic he might have (innocently) assumed someone else’s possession could be shared. if this were the case the teachers would be wrong for not understanding the various complications or full spectrum (no pun intended) of autistic behavior. if found guilty by 開封 court (sorry not yeastern depot as that was in ming dynasty) must chop with canine guillotine by 王朝, 馬漢, 張龍 and 趙虎。
The teachers were not trained and lacked the necessary empathy and patience to deal appropriately with this special needs child.

The school only want favourabler result (kpi) and close the case asap.Imagine being questioned and threatened by interrogaters into demanded confession, the schoolboy will be mentally crushed and thought this is end of the world and without SOS or counselling, took the suicide route.

Owing to spiralling crime rates in North America and Europe, the police have often used strong arm tactics to elicit confessions from wrongfully accused people who were sentenced to long prison terms for crimes they did not commit. It helps these officers get promoted.

So sad.

Everyone makes mistakes.
This happens everyday in all schools.
The teachers should have just told the kid say sorry and to be a good boy.
Even falsification of PUB contracts by PUB staff only received a stern warning. No fine and No jail.:x3:

Knn. With so many Auti kids around, how ?
Not enough is being done by the govt to promote mental health and well-being. The economic growth at all costs is ensuring only the survival of the fittest in SG. When only 15% get to stay in private residences and 10% get to own cars, the hoi polloi will be living on the fringes looking in.

In a recent interview, Yong Le’s father, who requested anonymity to safeguard the privacy of his family, said his son sobbed when he was asked to find the missing item, which he had apparently hidden in the school’s garden.

A spokesperson for MOE said: “We wish to clarify that the school’s fact finding process was comprehensive, and included the review of CCTV footage. The student had also admitted to taking the item.”

Sounds like there was no proof the kid took the item and the teachers had forced the kid to confess that he took it. Very unjust situation and understandable that the boy reacted the way he did.

Their hands are tainted with blood of a young life.

I don't think the teachers do it deliberately. I believe if the boy's mental condition have been made known to the teachers, things will turn out differently.
For a normal mentally healthy kid, such questioning are peanuts when compared to NS punishments and will never lead to suicidal problems.

More investigation is needed to find out all these factors. If any party deliberately withhold such mental condition for the boy, then this person(s) should be held responsible, including the parents.
