As a part-time handyman, this is what I have observed. All the BBQ pavilions taken up by CECAs, and the shitlets running around the pools.

Their mini CECA off springs race around in skate scooters along HDB corridor without a care whether there is some grandpa walking down slowly!!

The CECAs haven't taken over condos along Bukit Timah and Dunearn Road like they have turned Mandarin Gardens into Mumbai Gardens. However, there has been a significant increase in such tenants in many of the condos there. I see many of them during my evening walks with my wife.

Many of them are going back to India because the economy in India is better? Most are living in HDB if they choose to buy a house here as a SPR. Most of them comes from middle to upper middle class background in India

CECA invite their village and friends all over. Quite common. Used to it. Yet some of them can get sour when the nice neighbour across host their very first birthday party and invite friends and family over

I meet up periodically with my CECA tenant over certain issues with the aircon, plumbing, stove etc., and notice many other Indians in my apt. He claims they are visitors who are also working in PME jobs in SG. As for the condo I am staying in, CECAs also bring their friends into the gym which is not for guest use. The pool is full of CECA tenants and their guests on weekends, who reserve the deck chairs with their towels and bags.

I guess these CECA tenants know it is far cheaper to entertain their village by utilising the facilities at the condo. The rental of BBQ pits and tennis courts are FOC and the pool is not only used by their guests, but sometimes by trespassers. A few were confronted by the security guards after residents complained. The giveaway are trespassers who carry big bags and wear shoes to the poolside; those who stay there often come down with just a towel, plastic bag and wear slippers.

My female friend once bought a salt lamp from CECA professionals in Sg who tells her lame stuff like if the room is very hot then it will melt and my female friend was shocked when she reached home the salt lamp melt all over the plastic bag n she can’t use and waste $20

The RTC staff, fellow club members and even his spouse tried to tell him to refrain from putting his feet up, but he ignores and even raises his voice at them. Nowadays, nobody acknowledges him. Sadly, I know of one other member who has followed his bad example.
