Thinking of renovation, those malaysian carpenters never complete work on time. Cost is not an issue, if can get approvals to modify structures, modify PUB pipes and chop big old trees, even better.

Looks pretty untouchable and sturdy. I would use them should I need to renovate my home too. At least not like some fly by night firms which might abscond with my monies.

Gosh, the standard has dropped. The wings were oil soggy and machiam anyhow deep-fried when the deep-frying oil hasn't even reached the minimum 180℃!

1) Price increase

2) Quantity decrease

3) Quality decrease

4) Longer waiting time (less people hired at eateries)

What to do? Get used to the new normal as this island doubles down as a money laundering hub. It's not just Ikea.

I usually do such work myself if it's possible. I understand that it's time-consuming, but it's cheaper, and this way I'm sure everything is done well. I started the renovation process at my place almost 18 months ago and still have some final touches to be done. I'm about to complete the flooring and have chosen hardwood and plan to add ogee skirting as a final touch.
