Apple excited about its new gadget

Monday 28th December, 2009

Apple is about to introduce a new gadget which will bridge the gap between a mobile phone and a laptop computer.

An Apple tablet-type device is expected to be unveiled in January.

Technology websites have been reporting the device will be similar to an iPod Touch but with a larger 10-inch screen, making it convenient to watch video, search the internet and read digital books.

A wireless connection will supposedly give users access to television and newspaper subscriptions.

Apple has booked space at an arts centre in San Francisco on January 26th, which is when Apple fans believe the announcement for release will be made.

It's a computer, I expect many people will choose to carry one instead of a portable. Thats already happening with the iPhone.

The fact that Apple is introducing it means that there will be other new uses for it. Such as the rumoured electronic reader for magazines, papers, books,....
