There has been a spate of deaths involving young, active singaporeans who have yet to achieve their prime in life. The number of young Singaporeans who have died while particpating in sports and NS is more than just a blimp. The answers are not clear but it has something to do with the heart.

Recently attended a gathering of Singaporeans in a foreign city and realised that young Chinese Singaporeans are now shorter and slighly built than others.

Looks like the small gene pool is taking effect. This is further compounded by the small size of dialect groups. Either that or the move to healthy diet where less meat or no meat is consumed seemed to have effected their growth. Don't see this amongst, chinese from Malaysia, Taiwan and ABC chinese.

I wonder if any others have noticed this.

Where you attend the gathering? I'm thinking of going to one to see for myself.

If you are talking about students, they are just pampered, don't know how to cook healthy food. Always eat rubbish etc, there are plenty of good nutritious food that are available, but they may just have no idea of how/lazy to cook them. I'm definitely feeling healthier when I'm here. Cooked grilled salmon last night that I bought at the fish market.

The problem of young people who died of heart problems or other physical problems is not confined to S'pore. There are many cases of young people all over the world who die like that, including athletes.
What is more troubling is young people in their prime or yet to reach their prime, who commit suicide or die of other causes due to the intense pressure and stress they feel and their inability to cope with the situation in their lives. I don't know whether the stress is caused by themselves, their families, their peers or society, but I call this "the evil scourge of comparison".
Why can't these young people be left to just live their lives in a calm and pressure-free manner, as long as they lead decent and law abiding lives?

I think the problem is in Singapore and where they are born. You can't tell when they are standing among fellow singaporeans. When they migrate or go overseas especially the recent arrivals, you can see that they are distinctly smaller, shorter etc.

This was in London and the newbies aged in their late 20s and their little ones were smaller. Typically the younger generation will be taller and bigger than their parents.

One clue was the potluck dishes from this lot - very healthy, salads, fruits, meat very scarce or non existent. The kids were eating the same things. Old timers however were walloping home made laksa, fried chiken wings, BBQ steaks etc.

This by the way is nothing new. Western parents who are overzealous over health food end up with kids that are allergic to range of stuff as they have no chance to build up immunity for the range of food that the rest eat.

So true . Weak and dysfunctional the new generation .

Ive also noticed that recently & maybe due to the influx of western angmo shit, there's a growing numbers of HOMOSEXUALS Sporeans.
This has nothing to do with religion or my anti-gay stance. I just donno whats the thrill of poking into men's backsides & examine their faeces after the act.

why nowadays nobody blame the new-waters, recycled from shit waters? :D

Water is a non-countable noun. You don't add an "s" to make it plural.

Boss i thought your area of expertise is on advice and advise? Now you throwing in noun and plural also? Ever thought of expanding and start a grammar school especially over here in little red dot since the local scums might make it imperative for all the future trash coming in to have some basic foundation in English?:D:D:D

yeah its much more fun poking a woman ass....:D:D:D

Eh, new trend to stay skinny mah, eat salad, fruits, very little meat. Maybe they read too many magazines telling them to stay skinny loh. You see the older gen walloping all the fatty food, not that healthy either.

The thread title reminds me of the term "degenerate scum".

What about the description "unchartered waters"?

what about sitting in the trains or on the trains? :D

Singaporeans have deen detached from nature and the gap is getting bigger each day.

This is a price for urbanisation.

The living environment in the 50s, 60s or even 70s was tough but the people were very rugged. As the Hokkien people say "la sum jiat, la sum tua".

Can we use the word "rugged" to described singaporeans of today..?
