Taiwan should be ok for now for a number of reasons:

1. Unlike Putin, Xi cares about what the rest of the world think of him and his country.

2. There are no major conflicts within Taiwan or China wanting to either be breakaway states or to be united/independent. Sure, there are individuals who have their preferences and politicians with their own beliefs and rhetoric, but there is nothing major.

3. Taiwan's status in the world as an independent country is still very much in limbo, and suited to China's view of Taiwan.

4. In general, people in China and Taiwan, including the politicians, are fairly satisfied with their economic and political status. Despite the historical differences in view, they are quite content with the present situation.

5. The most important reason is that I am in favour of Taiwan as an independent entity and hope that the status quo remains.

If TSMC is kaput, that means Apple is hongkan, and Samsung is huat.

Apple A-series chips are made by TSMC, while Samsung makes Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.

Taiwan should be ok for now for a number of reasons:
