Since 1965, our forefathers had make sacrifices in face of impossible odds, worked hard & sacrificed much and made Singapore what is today. It is not perfect but at least no one goes hungry today. We had been taught be pragmatic since young, to excel in working hard & smart in school & at work, & succeeded, proven by the status from International Worldwide communities, sacrificed by many both male & females.

No one is perfect or any system of governance. It will take time, much time & effort to elevate to the next level of civilization, which majority of Singaporeans had never feared but with courage to see & work hard & smart to see the next sunshine, no matter the difficulties thru pragmatism as our founding fathers whom had sacrificed much.

Our only weakness is that we do not know how to play hard & smart, & thus exploited by others from neighboring poor nations. Too much hardwork will leave relationships numb. Too much of play will only leave a nation poor. A balance is needed.

As the long known infamous Sammyboy forum caters much to emotional needs, a weakness of sheltered & protected Singaporean males & often exploited by other nations, - whom are truly the loser Singaporeans - those who exploit others - cheat, disparage, complain & hurt others or those who remained honest & hardwork with born pragmatism to hurt no one & not be hurt by anyone, regardless of race or religion, that made Singapore what it is today?

I can see the pain behind the angry comments & can only presume it must had stemmed from some unpleasant episode in the journey of life that had caused it. I hope that you may find peace within yourself, and let the pain go, as life is far too beautiful, precious and short.

Everyone of us do go through hidden & unspoken painful episodes in life - mental, physical, emotional, financial, etc, so you are not alone. The only difference between you and the rest of us is that we decided to let go & live life or what's left of it, than to dwell in hurt & pain, & spread it to others rather than hope & courage that was inborn in us since we became slaves to ancient Sri Vijaya despots & the once British Empire.
