Forum: Expiry date for 'fully vaccinated' status a matter of public interest

Nov 10, 2021

I wonder how many Singapore residents are aware that the Government has mandated that a person's fully vaccinated status expires 365 plus 14 days after the second dose. This can be found in section 6, subsection 4 of the Infectious Diseases (Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019) Regulations 2021, read with the First Schedule. The first version of this regulation came into force on April 24.

Should this one-year expiry date not be made explicit by the Ministry of Health (MOH)?

There was an opportunity for MOH to do so in response to a parliamentary question on Oct 4 concerning whether the definition of "fully vaccinated" will be changed.

This must surely be a matter of public interest. It has major implications for all Singapore residents given the Government's policy of vaccination-differentiated measures. More so, it is of concern because the long-term effects of taking yet more jabs against Covid-19 are unknown.

Does the Government intend for all Singapore residents to take booster shots to be considered fully vaccinated? And when the efficacy of the booster jabs diminishes, will we be required to take yet another booster?

I hope that MOH will make public why it has regulated an expiry date for each person's "fully vaccinated" status; how the one-year period was chosen; and what will happen when a person's fully vaccinated status expires.

Not Pioneer generation.
Not Merdeka generation.
Is Boomer generation.

Now the government has to provide free vaccinations to all the Sinkies every year.

Selling vaccine subscriptions is more profitable than selling Netflix subscriptions.

By the way, no one is mentioning 90+% effective like in the early days. Introducing a booster shot already demonstrates their duplicity.

Vaccine expiration dates means jack shit now because they are only a year old. Nobody knows because we are the trial subjects.

Pap can just revise the stupid law anytime they want and even make boosters mandatory.

Meanwhile, our democratically elected opposition party MPs dont seem to care about this. To them rape rumours are more important

PAP starting their nonsense strategy will back fired soon. The world are watching they bully unvaxed citizens no free medical care... sidelinibg unvaxed.

Wait kenna sanction by US which made (US polticans); them feel like a fool...

They are arrogant and cocky and think they can get away with anything because they have won every elections since coming to power.
Nobody has stayed in power forever and I hope they will see justice like in Taiwan and S Korea when their time is up.
Do not forget and forgive crimes against humanity

I bet the piss and poop will weaponize the vax status to curb one's freedom in erections. For example, if you choose oppo party, you will get an unvaxxed status automatically.

SINGAPORE - The validity period during which Singapore residents will be considered "fully vaccinated" after their last Covid-19 jab will be reviewed as more data becomes available, the Government has said.
Under the current regulations, a person's vaccination status expires one year and 14 days after their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) was responding to a Forum letter published in The Straits Times on Wednesday (Nov 10) in which reader Lynn Tan Gek Lian highlighted how it had stipulated this validity period for a resident's vaccination status.
MOH said in a response published on Thursday that it regularly reviews evidence from studies in Singapore and abroad on the protection provided by Covid-19 vaccines.
Dr Derrick Heng, MOH's deputy director of medical services for the public health group, said: "As these studies are ongoing, when enacting the regulations earlier, we had in the interim specified a duration of (one year)... to allow persons who have completed the primary series of their vaccinations to be exempted from vaccination-differentiated safe management measures."
Ms Tan's letter had raised concerns over the expiry of the vaccination status, given that most public spaces have rolled out vaccination-differentiation measures. She also highlighted the uncertainty over the longer-term health implications of routine booster shots.

Dr Heng said: "While two doses of the mRNA vaccines provide excellent protection against severe disease, there will be waning protection against infection. Hence MOH recommends all eligible vaccinated persons to receive their booster doses to improve their protection against Covid-19 infection and reduce transmission. This will also further increase protection against severe disease."
MOH added that as more data becomes available, including on the increase in protection provided by booster doses, the Expert Committee on Covid-19 Vaccination will study the evidence and make its recommendations. The ministry will then review the stipulated time frame.
As at Tuesday, 85 per cent of the population have received two doses of Covid-19 vaccines while 86 per cent have received at least one dose, and 19 per cent have had boosters.
Last month, Reuters reported that Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech said data from a phase three trial demonstrated that their Covid-19 vaccine was highly effective against the virus, including the Delta variant.
Pfizer had said its vaccine's efficacy drops over time, citing a study that showed 84 per cent effectiveness from a peak of 96 per cent four months after a second dose.

See? You'll eventually be 'invited' to get the third booster shot, better do it or lose your precious tick mark on your TT app. And more subsequent booster shots. They always let the old farts and the 'vulnerable members of our society' test water first, then slowly expand their target demographic, before finally targetting children.

They (Great Reset countries) are all following the same script, please don't think this is something that's 'uniquely Singapore'. In fact, dont be surprised that this island shithole was one of the founding members of this plan.

7:35: "COVAX... chaired by Singapore and Switzerland..."

Making mountains out of mole hills. Its been stated that the Wuhan virus vaccine is administered annually. Like the flu shot. N it might even be integrated with the flu shot.. so wats the biggie?

Opposition MP's lack universal exposure.

FDA Ruling:
Pfizer: boosters have been approved for older adults (65+)and 50 to 64 year olds with medical conditions, as well as adults with underlying medical conditions or those who live and work in high-risk settings
Moderna: The FDA approved people 65 and older and those with weakened immune systems to receive a half-dose of the vaccine, six months after their last jab.

Basically FDA approval for boosters is for those above 65 while PAP is offering it to all those aged 30 years and above and even more shocking is those age 18 years and above in institutionalised settings.
Is it even legal to go against FDA ruling?
