Yes companies like Exxon and She'll are basically dinosaurs. Their extinction is soon. However SG govt still insist they will be useful. And gives them money by the truckloads through non transparent projects and tax breaks. Problem is their collapse will be sudden and swift. It's better to plan and encourage the demise of these companies and invest in future industries. SG looks like they will forever be behind the curve, eventually will empty the coffers.Anyone doing oil n gas now is suffering.it is like a dirty word. Disease. Banks are being forced to stop funding coal and lng power stations as funding carbon based project will reflect badly on them. Pension funds etc may pull out from investing in thise companies. Latest victim being hsbc with regards to a coal power plant was met with demonstrations in front of their London hq.
