Speaking to Mothership, Lim said the incident happened on Jan. 8.

When he received the order, the soup appeared "carefully packed" in a plastic container, with a small container of chilli sauce at the side.

But upon arriving at the destination — a landed estate in Jalan Arif — he noticed that the chilli sauce had leaked from its container.

Shortly after, he was dismayed to receive a notification informing him that the order had been cancelled.

Lim also explained that cancelled orders may come with penalties for riders and vendors.

Riders risk suspension from the platform when orders are cancelled due to spillage, according to a screenshot he shared from the foodpanda app.

Typically, multiple cancellations lead to suspensions.

To avoid suspension, riders are sometimes compelled to pay customers upfront in the event of a spillage, so they don't submit refund requests via the app.

"It’s apalling to see these fucked up customers exploit minor issues to get free meals, especially when honest hardworking eateries and delivery riders (like me) end up bearing the cost!"

Why start a vicious cycle ? If people slap your right face, you should offer your left face as well.

You see, my ex mentor cursed me as son of prostitute every time, but I continued to uphold her virgin status. This is called 以德報怨 and finally she realized she 沒臉見江東父老 and left the forum.

More than 80% of S'poreans don't even own their own pigeon hole homes.
That is why when one doesn’t understand the truth, they ended up giving up everything to the authorities and live their life as a prisoner/slave

This is a lie, when you complete an order it can't be cancelled already like that all delivery companies go bankrupt. But I don't expect iq60 sinkies to get it

I remember the good old days when only fast food and pizza etc were delivered to your home, and you called them directly to make an order, no need to use a shitty app.

There are low class delivery workers as well as customers. I prefer to pack my own meals back home after work using my own metal/glass food containers.
Sums up nicely
Both deserve each other
That’s why I never order food delivery

Chinese robot maker UBTech eyes mass production of industrial humanoids by year end

Shenzhen-based UBTech Robotics plans to mass produce its humanoid robots as soon as the end of this year, according to an executive, as the loss-making robot maker ramps up output amid fierce competition in China's robotics sector.

UBTech will deliver about 500 to 1,000 units of its Walker S Series industrial humanoid robots this year to customers and partners, including car makers, Apple supplier Foxconn and logistics firm SF Express, chief brand officer Michael Tam said in an interview on the sidelines of the recent China Conference in Guangzhou hosted by the South China Morning Post.

While UBTech ultimately aims to "bring humanoid robots into every family", industrial robots are the company's major focus right now, according to Tam.

SINGAPORE: Singapore will trial self-driving public bus services in Marina Bay and one-north, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Monday (Jan 27).

This will start with smaller buses with at least 16 seats, on Service 400 in the Marina Bay and Shenton Way area, followed by Service 191 in one-north.

These two services were selected for their shorter and simpler routes, said LTA. One-north is part of an existing autonomous vehicle (AV) testbed, where trials have been conducted since 2019.

AVs do not have drivers and are equipped with sensors that allow them to navigate through roads.

LTA will purchase six autonomous buses for a start. They will operate alongside existing buses and will be deployed from mid-2026 for an initial period of three years.

During the initial phase, the buses will have drivers onboard as safety operators.

These self-driving buses must meet operating requirements, including safe pick-up and drop-up at all stops. They will be monitored in real-time by LTA to assess their performance and compliance with regulations.
