But I am glad for you and your wife. It is far better to deal with less people. Sure you might need to spend more time with each person. but it is still better because to deal with difficult people and overcome problems with people requires time.

The problem is those jobs and positions where people are asked to deal with more than 50 people in an 8 hour period. I believe that is high risk. Meet one nasty client you set back your time cos you have to spend more time with difficult client. Then have to make up and rush through the remainder and becomes even more risky that they will be unhappy as you rush to make up for lost time and then you encounter another as a result and sets you further back.......

Unfortunately these days it is all about low cost per unit. Wonder how Australia affords to pay nurses high wages to take care of 4 patients. Is your wife ICU or high dependency unit Nurse?

Actually this is what happened to me. Before covid I see around 15 to 20 a day.

Now have to call and talk to 50 to 60 a day and earn half of what I earned seeing 20 a day.

Covid. The politicans very clever used the opportunity to cut healthcare costs.

and some if the punishment he will use army parachut style! helmet check, parachut and some other phase i forgot already that encik really sick human being! then he start the punishment.
imagine all this your son kena how u feel and what would u do bro.

I don't have good opinions of people who went around boasting that they were former SAF regulars. Almost every one that i came across in the midst of my career with a (LTC) or (COL) printed in their name cards are useless craps. Their subordinates tell me that these people are good for nothings, more interested in either golf or womanizing. Give them the rank in corporate world, simple things like asking them to hire talents, they also bring in their cronies. hahah

It is like mid-life crisis, knowing that people around them look down on them, behind their back. Be it former commandoes or non-combat commanders, they seem to only find their self-worth in gambling (shares, golf, FX) or having mistresses in workplace and outside.

Then on the other hand, I noticed that the good ones who left the service, don't mention about their military past in corporate or linkedin profiles. They excel in the private sector, upgraded themselves with professional qualifications, have good management skills, values and integrity. Such a stark contrast.

bro those days (29 years ago) i never thought of going to the press those days unlike nowadays the kids are more smarter.
imagine if anyone of us report the matter to the higher up and the sick encik not happy and just imagine what he can do to us in there bro we are at his mercy!
and i believe the the night the abuse happened there is a officer in the camp he also never comes out and ask what happen! imagine from 8pm people runing and shouting until 3am plus maybe this abuse been there for every new batch of recruits so it is "normal" and true enough afew days before we POP the new batch of recruits also kena the same abuse! i told my bunk mate bro we kena this before and he said dont think about it just ignore and we kept quiet.
i guess all of us just want to faster faster finish the BMT and get the hell out of there and never look back.

I did work bro for a few years in Australia hospital mostly the patients are very nice and appreciated they even waited for me to come to their room and their family will say thank you to me and gave me a hug before they check out.

Well there some patients who a abit cranky because they are in pain I can understand their situation because I need to transfer them to wheelchair or push their bed to ex ray or to the operation room after they get better they are ok.

Sometimes I did ask my wife how her job and she always tell me if she compare working in Singapore and Australia she said Australia is better.

She told me in Singapore 1 nurse had to take care of 10 patients or more and because of that whenever the patients press the bell it take a long time to respond to the patients and she always kena scolding by the patients and Singapore patients treat nurses like maid too. My wife always works do OT because she need to complete and handover to the next shift and every day I see her lifeless when she reach home. Most of the time she got no time to eat her meal at work or she will eat a few bite very fast and go back to work. When the patient leave they don’t even say thank you. And that consider she very lucky already because some patients they will write a complaint letter saying the nurse is very slow.

In Australia she said she only take care of 4 patients not more then that she able to go for her tea break and her lunch or dinner. And when she reach home I don’t look tire and I can see she more happy bro

U know in school singapore vocational institute i took metal machining operate big rotating machine cutting metal my teacher everytime will quietly stand behind me and SCREAM at me at the slightest mistake and just scold me and use his finger to point out but with other students he will talk and get his hand dirty and talk to them nicely!
After everyday for 2 months i began to skip school end end up expelled!

Then I work in kfc one month before I enter National Slavery I told my again fat lady manager I want to resign because NS she gave me a slap (not as hard as NS slap) and tell me why not I work till the last day I enter NS!

national slavery kena abuse for 7 hrs at night never in my life been so terrified. And after BMT a fat officer dying of getting me to DB.

Actually working life is the worst then NS people are mean they will backstabs me and still show me a smiling face that how evil Singaporean are! And they talk down on my thinking I don’t understand their language!
And been treated like Bangla scream at and threatened with warning letters!
Most Singaporean really soulless people they don’t care about others as long as they get what they wanted and only a very few Singaporean a very nice to me who really treat me like a friend and I treasure them like my own family.

Well once I left Singapore my life totally changed!!!!!!!! People here very nice and I feel like a human being!!!!!!!!!
Everyday I wake up smiling and everyday is a blessing!!!

NS was started in 1967 when Malaysia sacked us and with the British army pull out, conscription was introduced to defend ourselves (100% Singaporeans) against the neighbouring Muslim states. The first NS batches were trained by Israel armed forces.

He has good connections with SIB and Mindef. The next morning, I was called in by my PC and that chow Cpl was present too. My PC talked to me very nicely and said something like I don't need to escalate matters as I can always approach him first to discuss my problem bla bla bla.... After that, none of them dare to tekan me and left me alone until my POP.

Yesterday, a COL cocked up in our meeting. It was our first physical meeting in 7 months, he was not prepared and didn't recall what's going on.

Gosh, he fucked his subordinate in front of us (vendors) saying that "If I am still in army, you will get it from me......" He thought they he could recover from his embarrassment by doing so, or maybe, he was trying to frighten us to excuse his oversight. What a shame.

actually the worst ones are the NSmen who have the rank of coparal and sargent they they are so gila of their rank that they think they are god in the army!
my fat malay encik he was a sargent the things he did to us i will never forget because it was the most terrified night of my life and the same night my love for the country died and migration was born in my mind and i promised i will never sent my son to serve national slavery! an i kept that promised!

In army, one rank above u, is your daddy.
To many, being a sergeant is the biggest achievement in their life. Outside the army, they are like me.

Many LCP and CPL in my times were more worthy of respect. We came back form training, the regulars went hide in bunk, while we queued up at washing bay to clean vehicle.

There was once, I saw an OC, came to washing bay, made his face dirty, and minutes later the CO appeared and praised him for being with us. hahaha

SAF is in a poor shape in terms of discipline and real warfare. We have excellent, committed soldiers in various branches and primarily in commando units but most other regulars are parasites in the system. In many units, the regulars are having their morning tea or sleeping in bunk now after roll-calls.

Conscription gave them authority and rank when there are there long enough, meritocracy is non-existence. Those who were about leave the service after first contract are even forced to give way to fucked-up regulars in annual appraisals. Personally, i know a MSG in Provost and CPT in Air Force who were ranked second-last or near-bottom despite being the best performers in their unit, just because they were not renewing their contracts with SAF.

I know we have excellent military vehicles and weapons but when we put boots on the ground, Singapore is suffering a worsening decay in readiness because many seniors in army are bad examples and leaders. For every good soldier like SP Ng, I can find another 4 less-worthy ones in service.

Many regulars are there for the headcount. They are pretty much useless. They only thing that they are good at, is bullying (throw ranks). Worst of all, they bring along such cultures with them to the GLCs, ministries and stat board after their retirement.

One good example my manager he also the union in that Insurance company and whatever he say I must do even it’s not my job scope and this old man loves to do favours to other dept managers and I be the one who do the job!! For 10 years!!!!
