KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 — Police will enforce roadblocks in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya following instructions to implement the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) from Oct 14.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the roadblocks would be set up at several locations in the three states involved starting midnight tomorrow.
“The roadblocks will be mounted in the same way as before (during the MCO in early March). Instructions for the deployment of police officers to the roadblock locations will be arranged by the Kuala Lumpur Police Chief and Selangor Police Chief,” he told Bernama.
Meanwhile, Chief of Defence Force Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang said the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) would work with the police in mounting the roadblocks as before.
“MAF and the police will do as they did before,” he said briefly.
Today, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the government has agreed to implement CMCO in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya from 12.01 am from Oct 14 to 27.
The decision was reached at a special National Security Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today, after consulting with the Health Ministry and taking into account the increase in COVID-cases in Klang, Petaling and Gombak districts. — Bernama

Mentally and physically exhausted hah ? D
Nope. It was malaya! A mythical hindu mountain.
can you please explain where and when was such a reference found ? Meaning the mythical bit , why was it mythical and not merely mountainous , since my understandingof Malaya being called such because it reminded them of certain region in s.india which were mountainous with similar climate

I had also came across Two other terminology to Malay , one Kedaram and is actually a reference to the Kedah kingdom established by the Tamils and the other as the Suvaranabumi , a Sanskrit terminolgy for the land of gold , which is also the name given to the airport in Bangkok

m&d cannot run even run an airline and can anyone expect them to run a country. That is why PAP appointed an Indian.. I mean a m&d president to make them happy.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has left Istana Negara after an audience with the king on Tuesday (Oct 13) to present his case on commanding a parliamentary majority.
He had earlier entered the palace at 10.25am, according to Bernama. He left about an hour later.
On Tuesday morning, Mr Anwar had posted a photo of him and his wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail on his Facebook page with the caption of: "May all of today's tasks be eased."

Mr Anwar’s Tuesday meeting with Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah came after he announced on Sep 23 that he has a “strong, formidable, convincing majority” of Members of Parliament (MPs) to form a new government.
His scheduled audience with the king a day earlier had to be postponed as the king was hospitalised for food poisoning.
The king was later discharged on Oct 2.

Mr Anwar, who is the president of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), was elected MP for Port Dickson in a by-election in October 2018, five months after Pakatan Harapan (PH) dethroned Barisan Nasional (BN) in the general election to form the federal government.
Mr Anwar, who was serving a jail term for sodomy at the time the general election was held, was granted a royal pardon days after PH’s shock victory.
He was tipped to be Dr Mahathir Mahathir’s successor for the prime minister’s post under the PH regime, but it had collapsed earlier this year when a group of MPs from PKR and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) defected to join forces with rival MPs.
Mr Muhyiddin Yassin, president of Bersatu, is currently leading the Perikatan Nasional (BN) government comprising the defectors as well as lawmakers from BNand Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS).
Mr Anwar, in his Sep 23 announcement, had declined to name the MPs who are now aligned with him.
Several politicial parties in the ruling camp, such as Malaysian Chinese Association and PAS, have publicly denied supporting him.
United Malays National Organisation president Ahmad Zahid Hamid said he was aware that MPs from his party as well BN have voiced their support for Mr Anwar and that he respects their decision.
However, PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainuddin said in a statement on Monday that MPs from BN, Gabungan Parti Sarawak and Parti Bersatu Sabah have pledged their strong support for Mr Muhyiddin as Malaysia’s eighth prime minister.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah would be calling all political party leaders to provide their input on the matter concerning their support for him.
This follows Anwar's royal audience with His Majesty which took place at Istana Negara earlier today.
Anwar also claimed he has the majority of more than 120 MPs in the Dewan Rakyat.
"As promised in my previous press conference, I have fulfilled my part in presenting to His Majesty the documents in regards to a formidable majority of elected representatives that are in support of me.
"I therefore urge all parties to give His Majesty an opportunity and space to fulfill his responsibilities in accordance with the Federal Constitution to go through the documents with Tuanku's wisdom and to call political party leaders to affirm said documents," he told a press conference at Le Meridien Hotel here.
When asked, Anwar said the documents comprised statutory declarations (SD) and affirmed documents from political party leaders.
Anwar’s audience today was to convince the Agong that he has enough support from MPs in the Dewan Rakyat to take over the running of the government from Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s Perikatan Nasional.
On September 23, Anwar claimed to have enough support in the Dewan Rakyat with a “strong, convincing” majority of MPs said to be backing him in his bid to unseat the PN administration.
Previously, Muhyiddin affirmed that he remained the rightful prime minister until a time that Anwar could demonstrate that he has gained the confidence of the majority of federal lawmakers.
