Dr Lee Weiling is unwell with PSP

They were middle class when growing up. And even when the father was PeeM, it was considered still middle class because PeeM salary in those days think was about $8K a month.
Oxley House in those days, were probably less than $80,000. Blue collars were probably working for $80 dollars a month.

Way lower than $80k, probably half that price or maybe even lower.

In those days, smart lawyers could buy bungalows almost every year or two.

Even as late as the early 80s, to earn say $5k a month was quite the princely sum. You could buy a GCB 15,000sqf for around $300k. Now that property would be worth at least $25m.

The problem is that if you buy those bungalows with big land in prime areas, you will be the target of the Land Acquisitions Act, unless you are well connected. If you buy those bungalows in areas where expats like to stay like Seletar hills, or Changi, those places in those days too ulu to be confiscated. And get good rental from angmo expats as their rent is covered by their company. My father bought one such bungalow and rented to Texas family, where the dad was an oil rig driller.

Think she still made very good money together with Dennis from the start. Look at CC Tan, and Arthur Lim's father RCH Lim as examples.

There weren't many lawyers during that time, angmoh or otherwise. So the pie was big enough for able lawyers to make good money.
Not true lah. This is a quote from Simon Chesterman's blog

Mr Lee might have pursued a career at the English bar, but he returned to Singapore in 1950 to practise law. His early clients were often trade unions and associations, meaning that he earned considerably less than he could have as a lawyer. When the cause was worthy and the clients needy, he waived his fees entirely.

The family has serious genetic problems. To think the old man was championing about genes and passing on from one gen to another.
Daughter looks like man and now soon to lose her brain. She is a neurologist to start.

grandson albino and autistic, son got cancer. Another grandson is gay.
What else coming ?
Time to turn 38 Oxley into a shrine soon.

Old fart also genetic freak lah. The head so big and shaped like a crocodile head.

I wish her well, and hope she uses her remaining health to go help neuro cases in places where such illness is a death sentence for kids.

Perhaps. But my recollection typical GCB prime land areas Ds 9, 10 & 11 were not touched by the government.

There is some truth that the rich get richer.

Upper Middle Class families(even some lower middle class families) in the 60s & 70s transformed into Rich families in the 21C just through inheritance of a single GCB. Thank you also owed to Mrs LKY for the abolishment of the death duty.

Don't get conned by Tony's son-in-law. Harry might have been earning less to build up his political capital but I doubt that applied to his wife and brother Dennis.

There is a reason why Harry once said he was a "kept man".

Lee's genes are fine. It's the Kwa family that has many defects. He might not have been aware of these defects when they first had sex.
