Important portfolio. Make or break. If HSK cant make it to PM, OYK and Lawrence Wong may be in the running for PM shd CCS not be accepted by his cabinet colleagues

me think the transport minister seat is less hot now... cos the trains have been running smoothly for past months.. w/o major break downs.. :geek:
That is true. But air transport has been badly affected by covid 19. How to bring flights back and T5, go or no go?

oyk is quite highly regarded. high risk, high returns. If he does well as Transport Minister, he may be in line for PM as hsk looks shaky

I hope OYK will pursue a strategy to electrify our transport system and move away from petrol/diesel.

begin by making it compulsory for all car parks, public and private, to install charging points for electric vehicles. or better yet, roll out a national electric charging network.

the surge in demand for electricity will be good for the power generation companies. the reduction in air pollution is also a major plus point. electric is simply more efficient than any form of combustion and hydrogen fuel cells.

yes..there are many things that have been held in abeyance for too long. MOT, LTA have been bogged down by the mrt mismanagement by TH and Saw Phaik Hwa. Neglected are road management, bicycle usage, pmds, etc.. So if OYK is dynamic many things can be improved.
